About me:
No•W•Ark•Scene (nowarkscene)
Definition: Northwest Arkansas Scene.
Nowark was developed by a few guys who first, have a love for music. With that love comes the love for playing. We have all been through the struggles of promoting our bands and just getting our name out there to the masses. Coming from bigger cities, we had numerous local radio stations that would play local music, hundreds of venues, dozens of events that supported local music, and just an overall major local music scene. After moving to NWA and trying to find what bands existed and where to see them, we found ourselves struggling to find a source for that information. Other than jumping from club to club and searching on MySpace, it was a very difficult task.
We are here to provide the local bands, and fans of local music, a place to find out what bands are playing where, a way to meet other bands, find musicians to start a band, find a venue, and just a place for people of NWA, and people moving to the area, to check out the local scene.
