Nowhere Fast has always been a phrase synonymous with going nowhere and not getting anything done. Maybe that’s why the moniker is so ironic for these hardworking boys from Kentucky’s River City.
While it has been a few years since their debut album, I Had Friends, the band was never idle. Nowhere Fast was touring the country bringing their brand of powerful, heartfelt rock to the masses. A basement show or festival- it didn’t really matter as long as they played.
After making numerous compilation appearances and putting out their Little Heart Records’ debut, The Hollow Angel 7”, the band will finally release their next full length, which is guaranteed to please long time fans who have only had a chance to hear these songs live. Say Hello to These Fierce Winds of Change will show off new dimensions for the band, including the records’ lead single, Blindshot, which shows a more pop element for the band, and the long awaited recording of fan-favorite Longest Avenue, which up until now has only been available as a crude download, recorded on a raspy voice and a couple of hard drinks.
“Longest Avenue is one of the tracks I’m the most excited about. It’s finally going to be heard the way Seth [Robinson; guitars/vocals] always intended it. I know people have loved the song, but now they’ll finally hear it the way it was meant to be,” says puckett! of Little Heart Records.
Say Hello to These Fierce Winds of Change is being recorded with Ben Andrews (Hedge, Skam Impaired, The Juggernaut Jug Band) who also serves as co-producer alongside Robinson. puckett! serves as executive producer. Also on the recording are players Daniel Potts (drums) and Mike Moore (bass).
While Fierce Winds is on the Little Heart slate for late Spring/early Summer, the band is keeping busy. A video has just been completed for the Hollow Angel single Black Angel. The video, Nowhere Fast’s first official foray into music video, was directed by Jesse Spiro (Tastyface) and filmed and edited by Robert Walz, an up and coming film editor. Featuring Robinson opposite of Mel Jennette (Suicide Girls) the video should be coming soon to video download services and a television near you.
2007 is once again going to be a busy year for Nowhere Fast. When asked to describe the up-coming record, Robinson concluded “[This record] will show everyone what Nowhere Fast is really about… love, friends, family and moving on from self destruction.”

thanks for sayin hello! I miss you guys! I'm hoping to have a week off before the end of the summer to visit Louisville. If i do, please come drink margaritas by my parents pool with me!! haha
"As I make it to the top of the staircase I stand tall, shoulders slouched, a torn iniquitous mirage, shadow remnant of the god king himself that only hours ago – before the sun rose to shed light on our wicked union – called for the grail… “More wine for my people! Sing in praises, rejoice, oh savage children...” I undressed you for all to see, my sweet Maenad. By morning I would feel my remorse, by night however, I fed your sincere lunacy. I am torn and I am proud, and a reigning kiss was all it took.
My guitar lays inanimate, I kneel down and stroke its strings, a shy rustling reminiscent of a Kumeyaay Gourd Rattle cuts through the droning hum left in wake of the night. And as a dying desert shaman to his fallen tribe, the amplifier was left buzzing in our wake and absence..."
Thanks guys! Man, it's been a long time since I've talked to any of you or seen ya play. I need to get on the ball! Thanks for the bday wish! Stay cool! Keep up the good work.
