NOW U KNOW
An experienced southeastern Florida-based rock band, NOW U KNOW has been showcasing its groove-heavy musical talents throughout the state for nearly a decade.
In the group's first year of existence the band quickly took their energetic live show on the road, racking up nearly 60 live shows across the region. The band built up a
solid following of fans with their "take no prisoners" attitude on stage. There was no venue too large or small for the group as they made their mark playing anywhere and
everywhere: bars, nightclubs, festivals, private parties and benefits for people, animals and other causes. The band left all in their wake wanting and needing more of their powerhouse hard-rocking, but still catchy, original sound.
The band was approached by Michael "Spaz" Mcgoorty of (Cadillac Brats) and currently (SWS) to have the Now U Know band back him up at the Alice Cooper Halloween Tribute Show live @ The Lyric Theater in Stuart, FL. We were honored and executed the theatrical live show nicely!
NOW U KNOW recorded and released their debut C.D., entitled 4:20 AM, an eight-song offering that highlighted the group's tight musical virtuosity and songwriting abilities. Over 1000+ copies of the self-promoted and self-financed release were distributed within a year to a hungry and fanatical fan base. Highlights from that release included Tracks on GarageBand.com's rock genre. The song also garnered an award for Best Lyrics in Rock, February 2006. In addition to their spectacular work in the studio, the band continued to play tirelessly to crazed audiences of both long-time and brand-new fans.
The success of their initial recording, as well as fans' reaction to their blistering live shows, prompted NOW U KNOW to record a second, self-titled C.D. The six-song set featured a heavier, moodier sound than their previous effort. The new direction was embraced by the southeastern Florida rock crowd and by many who sampled tracks on GarageBand.com. "Obsession", a plodding blues-heavy tune that ends in a flourish, won awards for both Track of the Day and Track of the Week in February 2007.
The NOW U KNOW latest lineup consisted of Scotty (drums) and Ed (bass), Tom (guitar) and Kieth (vocals). The Band is currently performing Cover sets and shows while creating a great Social Atmosphere! ..
