It seems like everything that I encounter everyday becomes incorporated in my music in one way or another. My music style is predominantly classical with a touch of ethnic (mostly Filipino), folk, ambient, pop, old with a touch of new and the other way around, electronic but sounds acoustic, sometimes laid back, sometimes wild, sometimes tonal, sometimes not.
I guess having experience as an arranger resulted in all this fusion of styles.
Sounds Like
As much as I can, I don't want to sound like somebody else. It's hard not to, but I won't stop until I find my own voice.
Hello! Thank you for visiting my myspace.com site!
My name is Nhick and I'm a Filipino composer/ arranger. I moved to Tampa in 2001 and now I am with the Philippine Cultural Foundation, Inc. as the in-house music director. Though not as accomplished as the more credible composers of our times, I am having a share of the pie. I have arranged and written musicals, I've had a few film scoring accomplishments, did a lot of choral arrangements, some orchestral. The bulk of my music though has been composed for my own satisfaction. It's like an itch that doesn't go away sometimes.
Just like any struggling artist in America, I go for every gig that I can squeeze into my schedule: I have a day job, I teach the piano after work, I have choir rehearsals some nights of the week, I play the organ and conduct the choir on weekends, do shows every now and then. One thing that's constant though is that when I come home at the end of the day, I do musical experiments on the computer after walking the dogs or tending the garden. Sometimes I paint too. Or do something else as creative. Oops, did I say that right?
If you want the really serious stuff about me or if you want to listen to more of my music, feel free to visit my website. I can only have six mp3's at myspace.com and I can get you to listen to more than that! My site is www.nhick.com. Just click on the little banner below and it will take you there.
By the way, here's the official trailer of "The Coming" which is a new movie I'm working on right now. You can check it out at www.thecomingmovie.com .I'm doing the musical scoring:

Hello there. FYI: Green Spot is doing gifts differently now. So if you do not have the app you get the gift boxes sent to your comment space. They are giving everyone incentive to send to friends without the app so they can get acorns. If you do not want to keep getting the comments but really do not want to play the app it might be in your interest to set up the app if you want your friend to be able to save rainforest. If you want nothing to do with the app disable html for the Green Spot app. That way the comments are not sent to your comment section.
Felt my last comment did not explain things well. Green Spot changed the way you send gifts to non green spot friends. If you do not want the app but want to help your friends save rainforest accept the app and do not play. If you do not want the app at all you can block the html for the Green Spot app. This will help you not get the comment boxes in your myspace. Sorry about sending two comments I know how frustrating it is to delete these gift boxes.

Specimen will bring their special brand of glam mayhem, The Batcave to London again.
