shit man, u up for this?? itsa free gig, with GI JOE

SATURDAY 24TH JANUARY
GI JOE
Bologna’s finest noise-rock duo. They have obligatory extreme Italian volume and nice faces to match. Like your mathy man-favourites Lightning Bolt with a heavy dose of Battles-y danceable rhythms and free love ala Sunburned Hand of a Man or Chris Corsano. Totally mind-blowing.

http://www. myspace. com/gijoesucks

HIROSHIMA ROCKS AROUND
Cranked up garage noise trio from Rome. Like Guitar Wolf, Jon Spencer, Coachwhips, Hospitals etc but noisier and darker that wouldn’t have been out of place in the Am Rep or early Touch and Go catalogue.

http://www. myspace. com/hiroshimarocksaround

THAT FUCKING TANK
Leeds riff-spewing duo pulling out the big guns with new songs influenced by such cutting edge sources as Foo Fighters, Springsteen the Lemonheads and Reef. Heavy guitar, big amps, loud drums. Alright now.

http://myspace. com/landsandbody

MUCKY SAILOR
Dirty dad and filthy Steve dress up in big sheaths and obliterate the audience with their cabaret overload. Well-crafted pop songs played with Load records style gusto, manic phat breaks and unusual between-song fall-outs. For fans of Elton John, Trans Am, Vialka and Melt Banana.

http://myspace. com/muckysailor

At The Countess of Rosse, Bingley Rd, Saltaire.

FREE ENTRY! (Donations for Petrol graciously accepted)
8pm start (bands finish in time for last train back to Leeds)

The Countess of Rosse is a recently refurbished pub under new management in the World Heritage Site of Saltaire. It is five minutes walk from Saltaire train station; head up Victoria Rd, take a right along Bingley Rd and its on the corner of the roundabout near the Shell Garage.
