NProject is more than an album, it’s an overriding urge to compose a collection of albums intended to build a musical link between men. The aim is to ask artists of all ages, from all different sorts of backgrounds, believers, atheists or agnostics, brought up in every kind of religion and tradition, to get together and merge their talents to create from traditional songs and prayers a sound that exceeds the individual and reaches out to the universe. Title after title, the collection will offer a trip round the world, visiting different cultures and questioning accepted ideas.
The first album in the collection, Berechit (at the beginning), reexamines traditional Jewish prayers and songs, drawing up from the roots the juice that will revitalise the tree. Featuring singers and musicians of all ages – the youngest is only 10 and the oldest over 70 – and from all religious faiths. NProject, c'est plus qu'un album : c'est l'envie de composer une collection d'albums qui dessineraient en musique un trait d'union entre les hommes. Le propos est de demander à des artistes de tous âges, venant d'horizons différents, croyants, athées ou agnostiques, élevés dans toutes sortes de religions et de traditions, de se retrouver et de se mélanger pour donner à des chants et à des prières traditionnelles un son qui dépasse le particulier et touche à l'universel. Titre après titre, la série invitera à un tour du monde et des cultures, en bousculant les idées reçues.
Le premier album de la collection, Berechit (au commencement) revisite des prières et des chants traditionnels juifs, en puisant dans les racines la sève qui permet de revitaliser l’arbre. Avec des chanteurs et des musiciens de tous âges, le plus jeune a 10 ans, le plus âgé a dépassé 70 ans et de toutes confessions. NProject es más que un álbum, son las ganas de componer una colección de álbumes cuya música creará un lazo de unión entre las personas. La intención es pedir a artistas de todas las edades, procedentes de distintos horizontes, creyentes, ateos o agnósticos, educados en todo tipo de religiones y tradiciones, que se encuentren y se fusionen para aportar a cánticos y oraciones tradicionales un sonido que sobrepase lo particular y alcance lo universal. Un título tras otro, la serie invita a dar la vuelta al mundo y a sus culturas, poniendo en entredicho las ideas preconcebidas.
El primer álbum de la colección, Berechit (al principio) hace un repaso de las oraciones y los cánticos tradicionales judíos, extrayendo de las raíces la sabia que permite revitalizar el árbol. Cuenta con un elenco de cantantes y músicos de todas las confesiones y todas las edades, siendo el más joven de 10 años y el mayor supera los 70. Nproject – das ist mehr als einfach nur ein Album: Es ist der Herzens¬wunsch, mehrere Alben zu schaffen, die dank und mit der Musik Men¬schen zusammenführen. Die Idee, die dahinter steckt, ist die folgende: Künstlerinnen und Künstler aus sämtlichen Altersgruppen, mit unter¬schiedlich(st)en Hintergründen, gläubig, atheistisch oder agnostisch, aufgewachsen mit allen nur erdenklichen Religionen und Traditionen, sollen sich zusammenfinden und die verschiedenen Gesänge und Ge¬bete, mit denen sie aufgewachsen sind, gemeinsam zu einem univer¬salen Ganzen verweben. Lied für Lied soll so eine Reise durch die Kul¬turen der Menschheit unternommen werden; eine Reise, bei der vor¬gefasste Meinungen heftig ins Wanken geraten.
Das erste Album aus der Kollektion heisst Berechit (im Anfang) und versammelt traditionelle jüdische Gebete und Gesänge und setzt diese musikalisch erfrischend und überraschend um – mit Sängerinnen und Musikern, Sängern und Musikerinnen aus allen Altersgruppen (der jüngste ist 10, der älteste über 70) und aus allen Glaubensrichtungen. Ein Album, das Ruhe ausstrahlt, «mit Gesang auf Hebräisch, der sich in einen reichen Gesangsteppich aus schwebenden elektronischen Klängen und packendem Jazz mischt. NProject, è più di un album: è la voglia di comporre una collezione di album per unire le persone nella musica. L’obiettivo è chiedere ad artisti di tutte le età, provenienti da orizzonti diversi, credenti, atei o agnostici, cresciuti secondo religioni e tradizioni differenti, di ritrovarsi e di mescolarsi per dare a canti e preghiere tradizionali un suono che superi il particolare e tocchi l'universale. Brano dopo brano, la serie inviterà al giro del mondo e delle sue culture, stravolgendo i pregiudizi.
Il primo album della collezione, Berechit (Genesi) rivisita le preghiere ed i canti tradizionali ebraici, attingendo dalle radici la linfa per rivitalizzare l’albero. Con cantanti e musicisti di tutte le confessioni e di tutte le età, dal più giovane di 10 anni al più anziano di oltre 70.
