Floyd York, Mitchell West, and Trae Lamond have produced their own brand of D.C. post-punk/grunge under the guise of New Rock Church of Fire since 2006. Raised on 8-bit gaming systems and large cheese pizzas, NRCOF makes nothing short of "rip-roaring rock" (DCist.com). Throughout the District, New Rock Church of Fire has thrilled crowds with songs that range from the anthemic to the aggressive; girls sing along to Fig Tree while guys mosh to On Salisbury Plain. Up and down the east coast their live show begets a sound "as big as a fortress" (brightestyoungthings.com) - bring it home with Of the Wild, their self-released, debut album, available on iTunes and through their website.

Sorry to put this in your comment box, but the send message function does not seem to be working.
We are doing a long weekend of shows with our friends in Movers & Shakers and were wondering if you guys would want to play our first date with us in DC on Thursday October 1? We are still trying to lock down a venue, but that is sure to come in time.
RLLY SRRY ABT THE NU SONG! THINK 'FIG TREE' MADE MY SISTER CRY (VIA "IT'S 1 OF THE MOST MEANINGFUL BANGERS OF 09"). CANT BELIEVE HOW GOOD IT MAKES ME FEEL. THANK SO MUCH!
