My name is Nikolai Andreyevich Rimsky-Korsakov. I was born in 1844 at Tikhvin. Originally, I was in the Russian Navy, but I began to concentrate on music when I met Mily Balakirev in 1861. I was part of a group of Russian nationalist composers called "The Mighty Handful." This group consisted of Mily Balakirev, Alexander Borodin, Modest Mussorgsky, and myself.
