On the morning of February 7, 1986, in Sauk City, WI, another Green Bay Packer fan was born. My name is Nicholas Ringelstetter, but you can call me Nick. I'm the son of Steve and Colleen Ringelstetter. I have two sisters, Kaitie and Rachel, and one brother, Jacob. I have spent most of my life living outside of Spring Green at Ringelstetter’s Dog Food Center on highway 14. It seemed to be a local landmark, so mostly everyone in the area knew where I lived even if they didn’t know me. I have a lot of hobbies. I like keeping myself busy and learning new things. My top four sports are paintballing, skateboading, and white tail deer hunting and snowboarding. I’m a very creative person, always thinking outside of the box.
Two artists that have influenced me are Dick Woppert and Jacob B. Nolan. Dick Woppert is an art teacher at River Valley High School who showed me various techniques and was always open to all my crazy art ideas when working with clay and pastel drawings. The other artist was Jacob B. Nolan who was one year ahead of me in high school and he was also a very talented artist and a good role model for anyone who was interested in arts. I learned a lot from watching him work on his projects in Dick Woppert’s classes throughout high school. He passed away in a car wreck at the age of 21. May he RIP
I went to River Valley where I graduated in 2004. I didn’t have a clue what my future was going to be. Actually I still don’t know. I chose not to continue on with school and decided to work right out of high school. I got a job at Cardinal IG where I worked for two years, then I was offered a position with a new skateboard company to be co-owner and I would also be their designer. On August 2006, I took the position and I had a lot of fun and learned hands on how to start up a company. This only lasted a year for me and I was caught between a rock and a hard place and had to make some choices. One of these choices I made was to leave the skateboard company and move back home. After I moved back home I started working at Peck’s Farmers Market West until I could find a factory job. I was hired at Allen Bradly in Richland center, WI, in fall of 2007, but only as a temporary laborer. I was there for one month when I was offered a position at Schreiber Foods also in Richland center, WI, for full time. I took the position and I actually like working at Schreiber Foods.
In the winter of 2007 I decided I was going to set some goals for myself for the upcoming year. I realized that I have not done any of my own personal artwork since high school. I was doing freelance graphic design, so all of my work was for other people and companies and I realized I had nothing to show for myself. I decided that in 2008 I would start doing my own artwork. I wanted to do more than just my own art. I wanted to get more people involved in the arts, so I started up an art group called ATOMIC7. Right now it consists of friends that are all into arts in all kinds of different medias like painting, photography, video production, dance, music, and many more. My second goal would be to apply for the Spring Green Art Fair. I have always wanted to be a part of this event. I have been going to it since I can remember. In spring 2008 I started working for Phenom Skateboard Company as their Wisconsin Representative. I spent most of my weekends of the spring and summer traveling to skateboard events around Wisconsin and surrounding states if they needed extra help.
When the new year came I stuck to my goals and started doing my artwork. I decided that I was going to do canvas paintings and use spray paints, acrylic paints, and oil markers. I wanted to do an urban theme and add in my style. I ended up being accepted into the art fair, which I thought was pretty amazing. My dad, sister, and I went out to The Shed to celebrate the next day. This would be the first time that I would be showing my work to the public. I had no clue what to expect. My goal was to sell one painting. I figured my style of painting wouldn’t go over too well with this area, but I was soon to be proven wrong. I sold many paintings the first day. I had to go home that night and try my best to make more paintings so I had a decent amount to show for the second day. The art fair showed me that there are people out there that like my work and now I feel obligated to start doing more pieces and showing people that this is what I love doing. One thing I noticed about my work is that it always brought smiles, laughter, and a bit of mystery to the people who viewed it. It just makes my day knowing that my work makes people happy and that motivates me to keep creating and using my imagination to do what I do.
I'm not sure what my plans are for the future. It’s actually kind of hard to plan for the future because you never know what is going to happen. All I can say is that I’m going to try to have as much fun as possible and keep doing what I love.
Im a really busy person. I have a full time job making yogurt for yoplait and on the side Im a representative for Phenom Skateboards and I also have my own art company called ATOMIC7. I LOVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH ARTS. LIKE VIDEO PRODUCTION, GRAPHIC DESIGN, GRAFFITI, ART STUFF AND MUSIC.
Im really laid back. I believe everything happens for a reason and no matter what I do and what happens everything will eventually work out. A lot of random things that I can't explain happen to me. I'm really good at predicting things that are going to happen either that day or years ahead. I have the craziest dreams. Im a really deep thinker. There are so may unexplainable things out there and sometimes I will zone out and just think about, what if? kinda stuff and how the world/universe works and what not. I love the dark and chilling with friends around bond fires. I will do and try everything. One of my biggest goals in life is to give back to the people who have help me along the way and to give back to my community. I AM ME!!!!
I LOVE MY FRIENDS... I love meeting new people. I love listening to peoples stories and share a few of my own. If anyone has any problem I will do what I can to help them out. Im just that nice guy that will hang out with everyone and always will have a fun time.....
I live in my own world that I have created from scratch. Anyone who wants to join in, be my guest
