THE THOU AND THOU NOTS OF A DERBY GIRL:
1. Thine house can never have too much Gatorade or too many pairs of fishnets.
2. Thou shalt not ask if something died in my gym bag ( that smell is my pads. Seriously).
3.Thou shalt make your friends aware that if one more of them asks me if we skate topless, he's going to end up with a skate up his ass ( that goes double for the next person who asks if derby is like professional wrestling).
4.Thou shalt not protest when I feel the need to post pics of my ass on the league's bulletin board, especially if the bruises on my ass resemble the Virgin Mary or any "Diff"rent Strokes" cast member.
5. Thou shalt remember for any birthday, anniversary or special occasion, three words: Bones. Swiss. Bearings.
6. Thou shalt not protest the fact that there are two league practices, one team practice, two committee meetings and endless hours on the bulletin board each week. ( Just be glad that the girls and I haven't just rented a big house so we could be together all the time.)
7. Thou shalt not attempt to use the bag of frozen peas from the freezer in any kind of meal ( they've spent more time on my ass than Victoria's Secret).
8.Thou shalt accept that I constantly refer to my teammate as "Big Sleasy" (I have no idea what her real name is).
9.Thou shalt continue to swell with pride when you see me kicking all kinds of ass out there at the rink. Thou shalt also remember to do us both a favor and remember that feeling next time I get poured into the house smelling like Pabst Blue Ribbon and milkshakes.
10.Thou shalt be aware that I am capable of conversing on subjects other than derby, I just don't want to....

Hey Girls! Just wanted to let you know that were having practice at Green Valley Sunday May 11, at 6:00 if you gals wanna get in an extra practice before the bout. Unfortunantly I won't be playing in the bout because it's my son's birthday but I will def. be rooting you guys on from home, I love you all and Goodluck! Knock the hell out of em!!
As always ladies it was a pleasure skating with you. Hope I get to do it again real soon. You all need to come to GV on mother's day (those of you that can) we'll tear it up.
Hey to all...thanks to everyone for checking in on me...I'm doing better, trying to get ahead on sewing...go to orthopedic dr Friday for x-rays to see how it's healing...got 4 more weeks to wear cast...it's exhausting using crutches...good luck with the upcoming bout...miss you all!! LOVE!
