NSAI (Nashville Songwriters Association International) is the largest “not-for-profit” songwriting organization in the world, with over 5,000 members.
Our goal here in Sacramento, just as with the National Organization, is to promote songwriting. Through education, networking, and through NSAI’s efforts in changing the laws that help protect the rights of songwriter’s worldwide.
It’s our goal to unify the Sacramento area music community. We hold regularly scheduled meetings, songwriter’s open mics, and frequently bring in guest speakers and instructors.

I just wanted to drop in on a rainy day and say hi. I hope everything is great with you. We are excited, D.B. Pacini's youth/YA fantasy novel, THE LOOSE END OF THE RAINBOW, is being published in one week. Actually, she’s so excited that she is driving me a little nuts. She is donating some books and 10% of the proceeds to a charitable organization that helps Native American youth.
I also wanted to tell you about our free Starry Night Creative Artists Community. We started it last summer and it is growing like a weed, becoming international. It is open to creative artists of all mediums and we showcase organizations and individuals that help others. It is a cool community. I hope you’ll check it out. Just click on this link and then scroll down to: Starry Night Creative Artists Community: www. astarrynightproductions. com

NSAI-Sac - Join us in congratulating record producer Kim Copeland for her work on the Rachel Williams album, Lonely At The Bottom. Check this great review by R.K. Oermann with Music Row Magazine on Rachel's current single, The Only Thing Harder Than Leaving.
"She has the goods. This creeps up on you with cat’s paws. The languid pace, echoing instruments, spacious production and her hushed, aching delivery are all immensely seductive. The lyric of leaving home is full of terrific details. And her falsetto leaps in the bridge are like little daggers to the heart. A mini masterpiece. This, by the way, is the third single in a row that I have raved about from this performer. "
Hi NSAI Sacramento - Thanks for inviting me into your space. Just wanted to let you know I'll be in the area - playing The Palms Playhouse in Winters on Sept. 18. Also any members going to the West Coast Songwriters Conference - see you there Sept 12-14! It all really does begin with a song. peace, Gretchen
