NSB Radio started as an off-shoot of NuSkoolBreaks.co.uk in July 2004 and has been running ever since. We started out just doing weekdays, quickly upping our timetable to the full seven days. We now run live 24 hours a day, 7 days a week broadcasting from around the globe. No pre-records, no archives, just live interaction with listeners.
In 2008 and 2009 we won Best Radio Station at Breakspoll, the international breakbeat awards.
Of our shows, MjooGoos HighHeels Sessionsn and Ben and Lex's Beats and Bobz Show, was voted into the Top 5 Radio Shows, only being beaten by Annie Nightingale (Radio 1), Jay Cunning (now on Kiss 100), Strongarm Sessions (with Elite Force) and Tayo (Ex-Kiss 100, now Radio 1)!!
To counteract these nearly-wins, we have upped our stance in the Radio world - doing more live broadcasts, getting bigger and better Radio servers, re-branding the radio, massive street promotion campaigns and hosting massive events across the country.
This year we have broadcasted LIVE from the Glade Festival which won the 2008 best dance festival award at the UK festival awrads. We've also hosted and broadcasted events from the UK, China, Winter Music Conference Mimai giving our listeners never before heard sets from world reknowned DJs.
And that brings us to now.....
We've just signed up a heap of new DJs for the station to make us bigger and better. We've just moved web servers so we can host Podcasts and downloadable archives of every show we broadcast. We're just finishing a lardy-da new website just for the radio station.
