Back in 1997, David Longworth and Dwayne Conway were working as doctors in the A&E department of York District Hospital, entirely unaware of a shared interest in music. Only when Dwayne tried to sell Dave a copy of "Out Go The Lights", a CD by Birmingham-based "7:17 Blues" on which Dwayne played bass, did he discover that Dave had an entire back catalogue of written but unrecorded songs in need of some arrangement and production. North South Divide was born from this partnership. Since then, despite Dwayne's medical career taking him to Plymouth, London, Birmingham, Leeds and Canada, North South Divide have continued to work on arranging and producing the songs of David Longworth. In 2002 the debut CD "Another Fine Day" was completed, and is available via the band website www.nsdivide.com. The follow-up eponymous CD will be available mid-2008.
