About me:

.. My shipmates call me Ripley. I'm enlisted in the United States Navy as a Hospital Corpsman. GO NAVY!

Before the Navy, I was an EMT and a public policy technical consultant. I love to write. I've played guitar since I was 13. I love God with all my heart. I have a GREAT family! My father is my hero.

I'm passionate about what I believe, though realistic enough to realize I'm often wrong. I care deeply about relationships. I am a very analytical person. I value intelligence and "depth" in people. I consider myself to be a genuine, honest, and open person. I laugh every day.

I'm interested in music, arts, movies, reading novels, writing, songwriting and singing, medical stuff, swimming, caving, climbing, kayaking, SCUBA diving, backpacking, camping, quality time with friends, and traveling everywhere I can.

I’m obsessed with impulsive and spontaneous trips, adventures, and questions. I thrive on change.

It's extremely important to me that I not waste this temporary life on earth, nor take for granted God's amazing gift of eternal life. Life passes by so quickly, and we must seize the day! One of my greatest needs AND desires in this life is humility - pure, genuine, deep humility - that with a greater understanding of it I may fear God, serve eagerly, and lay down my own life, passionately and adamantly denying the things that this world has to offer in order to embrace and accept a life of hardship and servanthood for Christ's sake.

More than anything, I strive to be completely and utterly genuine and real. When I find out how, I'll be sure to post a blog entry on the subject!
