I've played in, sang for, arranged for, written for, recorded, mixed, musically
supervised, and made coffee for dozens of rock/funk/goth/greek/reggae/blues/world beat
bands.
I have a BFA honors degree in music; specializing in ethnomusicology, composition, and
electronic music. I am just old enough that I was crossing most of the modern electronic style
boundarys before they were invented.
I currently live in Toronto, but I have also lived in Los Angeles, and spend a fair
amount of time in Japan.
I've lived on a bus, played a gig at Neverland,
eaten sushi off a semi-naked woman, been fed by I.V. in Japan, quoted Monty Python with Andy Johns over orange drinks, had countless
coffees with the incredible Mr Lifto, (I miss that btw), played poker with Daniel Negreanu, been attacked by killer bees, (and lived to tell),
performed at an S&M convention in Innisbruck, Received a hug from Russell Simmons, broke bread
with Dr Dre, jammed in several memorable barns, married the same woman twice, (happily I
might add..), played behind chicken wire, yelled "Hello Cleveland" in the catacombs beneath
the Algora ballroom, had a Carlsburg in Copenhagen, shared a boat with modern day Vikings,
sat in on B3 with the Prime Minister of the Blues, missed my rent once or twice, sacrificed
a chicken,(a rubber one), and some other stuff I can't remember.
Absolutely love your work on Johnny To's films. I exchanged e-mails with Guy Zerafa not too long ago, heaping him with praise and begging for a CD of the Exiled score. He never did send it...
