NEW SONG UPLOADED!! “Trying to get High (Electro Candombe)” Click pic to download or come to listen at my profile!! This song is a mix of electronica+candombe. The result is a very "dance" song with a strong&hypnotic rythm structure and mood changes. Candombe is a traditional afro-american music from Uruguay, mostly percussion. It was developed by the slaves (and their descendants) that the spanish conquerors brought from Africa. It's a very primitive & deep hypnotic music without the "light joyfulness" that other afro-american rythms ussually have in countries like Brasil & Cuba, known as "sabor latino" ("latin flavour"). Candombe is a spiritual music, very serious & strong, it cannot be so easily frivolized for the consumption of the masses. Here I did a mix includding some of this spirit&rythm, but please be aware that this is not pure Candombe, it's just a tribute to this amazing style that we the uruguayans, take very deep in our hearts.
