Using wine glasses, radiators and horns, Nathan scored the neo-noir hit "BRICK" in 2006.
The score has been hailed by The Chicago Tribune as "perhaps the most arresting soundtrack of the year to date."
Nathan recently finished the score for The Brothers Bloom, expanding the pallet used in Brick to include strings and woodwinds for the sound of a "back porch orchestra".
Hey Nathan! So me and my girlfriend just watched The Brothers Bloom. WE EF'N LOVED IT!!! It was soooooo good! nice work on the music! It was fun seeing you in the background dancing in the bar in the one scene towards the beginning =) how are things going?
greetings Nathan, you probably don't remember us, but we met you at the grammy office with CMC last fall. We're just letting you know that we're performing at Kenny's Castaways on April 21 at 8pm. hope all is well
Hey Natan!!! this is Ricardo from ywam Pachuca(close MEXICO CITY)today they are going to show in the movie theaters here in Mexico city THE Blom Brothers, so I am going to hear your music and also are you interested in speak in one of our schools next year?
Can I be very honest? I found a book called Imbibe which I think you would totally dig if you can get past thinking I'm a dweeb. It's a history of cocktails with recipes, but like a real history book about liquor. That sounds cool, right? (hint: my fragile ego could use the validation--just say yes). Anyway, cool or not, thought you might want to check it out. Hope studio time goes well. Also, just told your girl this, but what are your thoughts on one-man shows? Mine are that they are almost always a mistake. But I just bet you disagree. Peace, friend. Wishing good things to you and yours.
Are you a mindfreak like Chriss Angell (he's got a double consonant somewhere in that name, so I thought I'd hedge my bets and just double consonant both names)? Just a couple weeks til turkey time? Are you making jello? If I find out what figgy pudding is, I might bring some. We do grow figs out here in the California land. I named my plants, so that's pretty much a loser-ish thing to do if you want to pick on me about that, I give you permission. Happy week! Love to the Katie if you see her!
hey man I went to a show on friday and couldn't stop thinkin' about you... Matt Hopper was who we saw play. He reminded me of the stuff I used to watch you play....you should check him out.......
