Mission
Cultivating and inspiring teens to become civic leaders is of lasting benefit to the entire community. The National Teen Leadership Program encourages students to understand that it is within their power to help those in need and to show peers how they can contribute. Our mission is to empower, motivate and inspire teens to creatively and positively influence their community. We accomplish our goal through leadership training of the highest quality by reaching out to young people and giving them the tools to be extraordinary leaders.
Vision
Our vision is to create a community where the values that contribute to transforming children into adults of good character and positive outlook are infused throughout the nation.
Award
The National Teen Leadership Program is honored to be a 2006 recipient of Senator Barbara Boxer's "Excellence in Education Award". Senator Boxer established this award to recognize teachers, parents, businesses and organizations that are working to make positive changes in education. Since 1997 Senator Boxer has presented the Excellence in Education Award to 38 recipients.
