Just had a fanTAStic Hood to Coast experience, and part of what made it so special were the Run Club members I ran into (but didn't run past!) along the way. Thanks Run Club for bringing us together and giving us the opportunity to share this crazy race with people we might not know otherwise.
cheers,

Hey Nike+'ers - join the 50 States in 150 Days Challenge and move Oregon past Massachusettes. Right now I'm the Oregon runner in that challenge with the most miles, and that's just embarrassing :^). One or two more run clubbers will shoot us into the top 3!
Will you forward this on to anyone that might be a supporter?
It is rare these days not know someone who has been touched by cancer. I will be bicycling 40 miles on June 29th this year to raise money for people who have in fact battled cancer. Please if you have a moment go to:
and donate towards the cause. I am trying to raise $5000 for this very incredible cause. If you can't donate I understand but ask that you please keep these people in your thoughts on that day and every day, their struggle is a scary and often sad one. If you know someone that may be able to donate please pass this link on to them.
My reason for doing this: I have a dear friend of mine that struggled through cancer and beat it. What a long hard battle. Well, the cancer has returned and so has the weight on my heart. I was also born to a mother who had cancer. When I was born I was put into my mothers arms as the doctor told her "enjoy her while you can because I fear you won't live to see her grow". My mother is still with me today. My mother is one of the most stubborn women I know (in a good way) she refused to leave me alone in this world and for that I thank her with my entire soul! So on June 29th I will be riding for my mothers strength and my friend who has had to know the victory of beating cancer and the tragedy of it's reappearance. Life is not to be taken for granted please even $1 is more than enough.
We need to take a photo from inside Nike of everyone waiting to run... maybe up on the bridge? I think this would give a great perspective to how many people turn out...
