NUA was formed in December of 2005.
Tommy McCann comes from Belfast Ireland. With him he brings both his music and stories of growing up in Ireland. He had has even penned a few classics himself. His quit wit and ease with any size audience make him a great entertainer.
Jim McDermott comes from Southern New Jersey and while that's unfortunate, he more than makes up for it with his bodhran playing and singing. with his Irish roots still in the New Jersey Philadelphia area, he comes from a strong musical background and it comes forth in his songs.
Together they have penned original songs, and worked up some pretty darn original arrangements for classic pub tunes. It's truly amazing what two guys, a guitar, a goat skin drum and a large bar tab can do to entertain you.

LOL... Ok... I am out here in San Diego now.. I brought my 10 year old.. The CD you gave us the other week has not come out of the CD player.. I guess you now have a new tween fan..lol
