SINCE THEN THE COLLECTIVE HAS RUNNED NUMEROUS CLUB NIGHTS (APOLO, APOLO [2], LA NAU, XPRESSING UNDERGROUND, PLATAFORMA, FLOW, SALAMANDRA, C3BAR, CENTRIC POINT...) AND FESTIVALS (HIPNOTIK '07, DJS CONTRA LA FAM '06, FRENETIK '07...), IT HAS ALSO BEEN BROADCASTING WEEKLY OVER THE INTERNET RADIO FOR THE LAST THREE YEARS.

One of the founder members of the Barcelona D'n'B scene. He has been performings as a DJ and MC on the local scene for 6 years. Stormy MC's with a live band called 08001 (www.08001.org). This project is a band born out of one of the main ghetto areas of Barcelona and includes 16 different artist of all different countries and cultures creating a sound that merges Hip Hop, Flamenco, Rock, Reggae, Arabian Rye Music and Soul.
Another band Stormy MC's with is called Barxino (www.barxino.net). The band includes 2 precusionist, one singer and a producer working on turntables, lap top and guitar. The band members are all from different countries and the flava is a fusion of 2-Step, Hip Hop, Salsa, Tribal, Funk and D'n'B.
Stormy's latest project involves rapping alongside DJ ASMATIC (www.myspace.com/djasmatic) a Barcelona based producer cooking up Hip Hop beats with an organic old school flava.
Due to his current strong envolvement in live music Stormy is an MC that can run with all styles and brings his own fresh original flavour to the dancefloor!!

Emma aka LADY EMZ (www.myspace.com/bcnladyemz)

Vocalist, dancer and performer from the north of Spain. Moved to London in 1989, where she stayed for more than 10 years, and got to sing with some talented musicians and producers of the Funk, Jazz, Blues, World Music scene.
Some vocal training and loads of live performin' gave her strength (live sessions at the Vibe Bar-Brick Lane, Brixton Academy, The Blue Note-Hoxton Sq..), and later on her way thorough "Community Music" (where she met and played with the Asian Dub Foundation and other musicians of the Underground scene) openned a new musical chapter for her.
From then on, she started workin' with Electronic Music, as well as bands, and did some Free-Style live sessions with House-Funk, DnB, Garage, Breakbeat...DJ's and producers.
Back to Barcelona about 7 years ago, carried on freestyling along with House-Funk, Downtempo, Dubstep and DnB Dj's, and did some studio work with different producers (two of her songs appeared on the compilation album DUBZ, by Dubcelona '04). Has been lead vocalist in some bands (Low Poison, Dreamlab, Mr.Soul..), formal lead singer of the Electro-Dub-Funk project: GET GAS. Became a member of the Barcelona DnB collective NUBE9 about 3 years ago, but she has performed with many of the other crews in the city: Tiknology, Dubcelona, DNBCN, Corsario Riddim, etc... she adds a Jazzy-Funkiness Soulful touch to the Dj's spinnin'...

Sherg aka DASOUL (www.myspace.com/dasoul)

DJ and producer born in Madrid but resident in Barcelona. He began his career as a DJ in 1999 mixing at differents clubs, pubs, private parties & raves in Madrid city, and as a producer in 2006 though a few years before he was already experimenting with music. Son of a DJ lady in the 70s, has been always influenced by the sounds of the Funk, Soul, Jazz, Reggae, Dub.
Since he arrived at Barcelona in 2004, he has dedicated to explore the DnB and Dubstep scene, collaborating in several events and mixing in different places.
Nowadays he's totally dedicated to Dubstep production. He has vocal collaborations by Lady Emz in several tracks and musically next to other producers. His Dubstep mixes are loaded with plenty of Bass, Ethnic, Roots and Grime. Ocasionally he also mixes DnB; Intelligent, Soulfull, Liquid Funk, Dubwise, Jungle... full of some nice energy & good feelings

Born in 1983, she spent her childhood and adolescence between Pais Vasco and Catalonia. At very early age, she already began to feel curiosity by the music of artists like Nina Simone, Miles Davis, James Brown, Louis Amstrong... Her father gave her what itwould be her first vynil, from Queen. It was then when she woke up and decided she wanted to dedicate herself to which filled and kept her soul alive: MUSIC. With her first wages she once bought an electrical guitar and began to write songs.
Although she knew that electronic music existed, didn't get into it completely until she went to see the Freestylers live, she was 18 years old, and it convinced her to change the guitar for the turntables and a mixing desk, beginning then seriously, as a hobbie/profession. Thanks to her friends she began to play at electronic music parties, Drum'n'Bass and Breakbeat being the ones she enjoyed the most, it was her thing. This girl enjoys like a baby being a listener at parties… but she enjoys even more when she is one of the ones playing at these events, making the crowd to have fun and vibrate with the Music.

Colombiano radicado en Barcelona desde hace 6 años, se inicio como DJ en año 2001, actualmente forma parte de los colectivos Vinyl Reveletions y Nube9.
Influenciado por diversos estilos musicales: Punk, Heavy Metal, Hip Hop, Funk. Conecta con el Drum & Bass a finales de los 90. Sus sesiones exploran un amplio espectro musical entre diversos ritmos, atmosferas experimentales y harmonias hipnoticas.
Productores como: Calibre, Photek, Seba, Bill Llaswell son algunas de sus influencias.

Colombian based in Barcelona since 2001, started djing in 2001, today works with the collectives Vinyl Revelations and Nube9.
Influenced by diverse music styles like Punk, Heavy Metal, Hip Hop, Funk. He got in to Drum & Bass in the late 90's. His sets explores a wide musical spectrum alongside diverse rhythm, experimental atmospheres and hipnotik harmonies.
Producers like: Calibre, Photek, Seba, Bill Llaswell are some of his influences.

Egres began djing professionally in 1997 playing radios, house parties, raves + clubs in the New York/New Jersey area including Camouflage, Recess, Aperature, Push, Direct Drive, Acupuncture, Testpress and NYC Jungle Radio. Through his hard work, he gained his residency at Testpress, one of New York’s longest running Drum and Bass parties. In Spain he has djed local parties including the JazzClub, Zentraus, Apolo, Sidecar, Nubaa, Mambo Beach Club, Mochima Bar, Xpressing Underground, Daf, Tasmaniac (Special Offshore Rec. Session), Club Sonora and various rave venues like Art Factory, Frakaso Eskolar and Dover Mansion. Egres’s dj talent covers all of the sub-genres of Drum and Bass from Leftfield to Jump-up in an intense and smooth rolling style that focuses on melody capturing the heart of the dance floor. Currently, egres represents the independent, eclectic drum and bass label Offshore Recordings as the only international dj included in their roster and runs the only atmospheric dnb night at club FLOW (BCN). Finally egres has plans and is working on projects to bring fresh energy to the Spanish Jungle/Drum and Bass scene with the formation of his group www.surcobcn.com. All together with the NuBe9 FAM things are looking SPLIFFY!!BOH

January 2004 was to set new standards for DJ TAMEN as he djed along the well-known dj Hype. One month later, he picked up his belongings and moved to Barcelona, Spain where life promised new, fresh, exciting and challenging times. Tamen' s dj skills were quickly noticed in Barcelona and he began djing at local raves and club nights like La Xina at Sidecar, Raval Bass at Zentraus, Nubaa, Sifo, Macba, Makabra, Jazz Room, Bang Bang, Mesum de Arte Contemporanio (Castillo de Leon), Pamplona, Observatorio (Valencia), San Sebastian, Bar Gusto, Mephisto, Chikamala, Apolo, Xpressing Underground and the Cube Club. Tamen has not forgotten about his live instrument roots either as he now has a Grade 5 Drumming Certificate and plays live with various groups in Barcelona such as Jahbitat Live (Arepaz, Nosordo), which is a live instrumental Hip Hop band with well-known producer Jahbitat of the label Botanica de Hilbro, live Folk/Reggae/Funk with Kevin Ryan of Ireland and Bossa-Blues with Mango Juice from Barcelona. In august 2006 he went on a month-long tour around Ireland playing many house parties and local radios "Flirt FM" and "Bassbin on Power Fm". He performed at the two main independent experimental music festivals "Mantua" and "Slibh an Iarann Arts Festival" alongside other artists from respected labels like Planet Mu and Warp. He also ripped through clubs namely "Recepy" at the Junction, "Fundraiser" at the Rowing Club and "Nu Killa Beats" at Dolans Warehouse, where he found his beginnings with dj Code's Subtle Audio Recordings as a dj representative of the label. Tamen's smooth, rolling dj style captivates dancefloors in true SURCO fashion and you will experience his depth in drum-breaks knowledge and ability to keep-it-fun.

While he was often the side show attraction at Drum and Bass raves, Tuffist soon found his niche amongst the other Junglists wanting to see Jungle run the dance once again. As the state side Ragga movement gained momentum, Tuffist found himself playing more and more frequently, and linking with some of the best talent in the biz.
Tuffist has now been a resident at Konkrete Jungle for 9 years and counting. In recent years he has helped organize some of the biggest and most well received Jungle events NYC has ever seen, including the NRJP tour, and the "Diss Da Program" nights at Konkrete Jungle.Over the years DJ Tuffist has been an integral part of keeping Jungle Music alive in New York City and North America in General.
In January, 2004 Tuffist left Survival. He is now performing as a solo artist, and represents one of North America's top Jungle crews, illegal Sound. In January 2005 Tuffist Launched Cause and Effect Records alongside Boston's Miztah Lex, and Rob Penta. The Label has featured tracks by 16 Armed Jack, Loqutus, Krinjah, D -Star (feat. Armani), Dirty Deedz w/ Jamalsk and Tuffist himself. 2007 will see releases from artists such as Head Hunter (a.k.a. R.A.W.) and Terminal State. Tuffist is currently living in Barcelona, Spain. There he has been featured several times at the city's hottest weekly events Raval Bass (Now Born Bass), and Barcelona BASS LINE, as well as various one offs and several appearences on the Nube 9 Radio Show. In addition Tuffist plays regularly in Amsterdam and Germany. With the Ragga and Dub elements making a hard come back in D&B, WATCH OUT for this underground super star coming to a dance floor near you! Stay Tuned. EZ...
