So true Nubia. I thoroughly agree. I sent an email to your email address. Its about the Australian Tall Poppy Syndrome- a very different cultural mindset here, and differing to many other cultures. In Australia, it is pretty strong, and I have to agree its because the nation was founded on the us and them principle in early colonisation. Also, importantly, becausew of the mass diversion of cultures here, peole find it very hard to have a strong say about anything. It does make for good reading though. Chess is an interesting game. And life, being played like a chess game can become more interesting as the opponents become harder to play. The longer the game is played over the years, one would think that the opponents get harder. It tests us to the max. And so, the heroes for me, are myself- of whom I've got to know and respect over the years. I am, the number one hero, for I am in the realm of the now, and I know myself the best. I thank my body for being the hero that has saved my life several times, my mind that has collapsed and gone awry at most difficult times, only to recover, and save the day for me. I thank my emotions that have saved me from being too harsh and objective at times so that I may feel what I am really feeling, so that I can feel another and be compassionate. I thank my soul and my spirit for allowing me to live on this earth and savour, study, and experience the lessons, and the joys that have made me who I am today. And finally, I thank myself, in that I am a good friend through being my own worst enemy, which has helped me to value myself in a higher realm. After all of this, I am only but a pART of the mass collective, and understanding my role here, can then see the remainder of all peoples around me- each doing and experiencing in greater and lesser degrees, in part and in whole, or some not at all, but nevertheless contributing to existence and sharing love singularly, and wholly at the same time. This then, and seeing this fact, makes my world earth a hero, for it has raped, pillaged and plundered her, only to keep being here for us. Mother Earth is a hero, and the people here are my hero. The faith throughout all of this is my hero, and when all else fails, me, a hero. It is by reading about hereoes that inspires me to reevaluate the meaning of my existence here on earth. Tell me: What line do you like to say about yourself in regards to your own courage, bravery, and heroism ? Theres one in all of us !....dont be shy.. What story of heroism is a pretty good one from you, Nubia? One that you are so happy that you helped yourself, or another through a huge crisis, and through your own interventin was able to save the life of you, or someone else? I would really love to hear about it. As for the weather- its a great feeling whenu can just adore being outside. We have winter here and its pretty cold overnight for us here.
