Here is what The Rose & Crown (Farrington) said about us!
NUCLEAR AUTUMN fri 11th April
Another last minute find for the Rose and Crown and another last minute booking brought NUCLEAR AUTUMN to the Rose and Crown this Friday. Very very good band, so good in fact Tracr Records have shown an interest in signing the young rockers. Their style is very American but they do it with ease and very very well too. Not many bands can get through a cover of the Jams Underground with ease but these lads managed it to Chelsea Joes utter excitement! Every song they played was fantastic and with shouts from the crowd like "play your own stuff" you could obviously tell their own material was being very well recieved too!
A very good band that will be returning to the venue very soon for a Saturday night spot and we highly recommend that you get in and see these lads with your own eyes and ears they are brilliant.
Anyroad well done lads look forward to having you back very soon!
Gradely Quiff!!!

When Andrew Cronshaw and Phil Kushner decided it was time to leave their former band (Adicted) they set about starting a new band with a new sound. Nuclear Autumn formed in November 2006 with Andrew Cronshaw on Lead Vocals and Rhythm Guitar, Phil Kushner on Lead Guitar, and Gary Taylor on Bass Guitar. After consideration of a few possible drummers, the band made a joint decision and all agreed that Matt Dexter should join on Drums. The band were now happy with a four-piece ensemble as there was no need for the extra guitarist. Practices began at Matt's house and after a few weeks the band had a few of their own songs perfected, at this point they realised they were missing a band name. The name (Nuclear Autumn) was actually created on a random band name generator online with the keyword being Nuclear. Once they had adopted this name the band set about learning covers and writing more songs in anticipation of a gig. They were given their first chance to perform when the Penwortham Girls Band Night arose. After this first showing of their talents, the band gained confidence and experience and set hard at work producing their first album. It was apparent that a backing vocalist would be needed if the band was to progress with their recording, with his music experience and knowledge Phil Kushner was chosen as the man to hit the notes.
Nuclear Autumn have now written 17 songs, in their own unique style and recorded them professionally with a Paul O'Neill in Wigan. They also continue to play gigs. Since they formed in late 2006 Nuclear Autumn have played about 30 gigs including numerous venues across the northwest in order to gain experience, a bigger fanbase and of course money which is used to pay for recordings and equipment.
Since their first recording session back in September 2007, Nuclear Autumn have been attracting the attention of various recording companies who were interested and somewhat suprised at what the band had to offer.
Yet when the band went back to the recording studio again in April 2008, they walked away with bigger and better recordings sparking their first contract offer. The Band certainly hope this will be the year for Nuclear Autumn!
