Born in the year 1992, Nude Records began life with the band that created Brit-Pop...the band that had the press salivating and opened the door for a new generation of arty guitar pop groups....
With their debut album, the eponymous 'Suede' (some people refer to the album as 'Nude'), on Nude Records, Suede had the fastest selling debut album in history by any British band and went on to land the Mercury Music Prize and feature on magazine covers around the world. Success continued with the release of albums such as 'Dog Man Star' and 'Coming Up' which culled 5 top 10 singles in the UK chart and the label grew with the same aesthetic, intent on putting out great music with distinction and style.
Amongst the label's other successes were essential classic album releases by Ultrasound, Geneva, Lowgold, Black Box Recorder & Billy Mackenzie. Their singles embraced the top 40 with other artists such as The Jennifers (who went on to become Supergrass), Gloss, Goya Dress and Sharkboy...
Throughout the years Nude has had a vision of music as art, a clear stylistic approach to making great records, and with an aim to signing artists for longevity to make important statements in music and to touch people's lives...
Nude has returned to put the art back into pop with recent releases such as 'Future's Burning' - The Definitive Guide to the new generation of guitar bands, featuring Franz Ferdinand, The Libertines, Bloc Party, Razorlight & The Kaiser Chiefs amongst others.

2008 sees exciting new releases by the new sound of the estuary - Hoodlums, French teenage sensations The Dodoz & now Get Well Soon the musical alter ego of 22 year old Konstantin Gropper. An album forthcoming that is a beautiful, clever and complex piece of work from folk to electro to classical .
