NUDO DE ESPEJOS
On 2005, this peruvian band founded by Dante Pineda (guitar and vocals) and Kiko Sánchez Monzón (bass, guitar and vocals), released their first album under the label Flex Tone Records. At that time, Danny Tataje (guitar) and Sergio Llerena (drums) were part of the band formed in 1999.
In the production of the first album, recorded at a 4 track portatil studio, Dante and Kiko took charge of the mixes and masterization, along with the collaboration of Iv..n Mindreau (Los Dickens, Libido) at Soho studio. Other well known musicians from the local scene collaborated with the band in the recording, like César Saenz (Presidente Morsa), Julio P..rez, Dante “Choclito” Oliveros, Victor Vásquez (all of them from La Sarita) and Pablo Saldarriaga (La Roja). Former members of the band also participated, trying to make their debut album some kind of return to the essence to the days of the first gigs the band offered to the public.
Groups like Velvet Underground and Pink Floyd can be related to the sound of Nudo de Espejos. But with three instrumental pieces, and seven songs where the lyrics get just the right counterpoint to the well structured melodies, this musicians let clear that they have a new and original proposal. In ten tracks full of rock, psicodelic and progressive glimps, their melodies got the magic to transport the audience to the acid mental passages of music.
Now, Nudo de Espejos is working on their second album, in which the development of the band it’s shown by the incurssions in new music scenes. Dante Pineda and Kiko Sanchez Monz..n are also now perfoming with El Aire, famous band lead by Jos.. Javier Castro, with who are also planning to record a new album that will be out next year.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- NUDO DE ESPEJOS En el 2005, esta banda peruana fundada por Dante Pineda (voz y guitarra) y Kiko Sánchez Monzón (voz, guitarra y bajo) lanz.. su primera producci..n discogr..fica bajo el sello Flex Tone Records. En esos momentos, Danny Tataje (guitarra) y Sergio Llerena (batería) formaban parte del grupo fundado en 1999. Grabada con un porta estudio 4, Dante y Kiko se hicieron cargo de la producci..n, mezcla y masterizaci..n de la placa, con la colaboraci..n de Iván Mindreau (Los Dickens, L..bido) en las instalaciones de Soho Studio. Participaron tambi..n en la grabaci..n, reconocidos músicos de la escena local como C..sar Saenz (Presidente Morsa), Julio Pérez, Dante “Choclito” Oliveros, Victor Vásquez (todos ellos de La Sarita) y Pablo Saldarriaga (La Roja). As..mismo, antiguos miembros de la banda tomaron parte en algunas piezas, haciendo de este largo la escencia de lo que fue y es Nudo de Espejos desde sus inicios. Grupos como Velvet Underground y Pink Floyd pueden saltar a la memoria tras oír algunos tracks de la placa. Sin embargo, con tres piezas enteramente instrumentales y siete canciones donde la letra funciona como perfecto contrapunto a la melod..a cuidadosamente estructurada, estos músicos dejan claro que lo suyo es una propuesta original. En diez pistas llenas de rock, con guiños psicodélicos y progresivos, el oyente sucumbirá al viaje hacia los ácidos parajes mentales de la música. Actualmente Nudo de Espejos trabaja en la grabación de su segundo disco, donde su desarrollo musical se verá evidenciado en su incursión hacia nuevas escenas melódicas. Dante Pineda y Kiko Sánchez Monzón forman parte también de la banda El Aire, liderada por José Javier Castro, con quien preparan el lanzamiento de una nueva producción que verá la luz a comienzos del próximo año.
