PREACHA aka MAD SCIENTIST: Producer, Composer, Musician, Singer, Songwriter and Rap.
LOGIC aka T MONEY: Singer, Songwriter and Rap.
LYRIC aka The LUSCIOUS: Singer, Songwriter, Spoken Word and Rap.
PREACHA leads off on the list of talented artist.
Sampling his own instrument playing gives the cd
the appeal that most producers in hip-hop miss out
on. Along with that his writing and rap skills
show the needed change that many feel is necessary in
todays Hip-Hop.
LYRIC has merged her Gospel roots and R & B backround
together with the production skills of Preacha and takes her first
entry into the rhyming world on the track "Daze of Thunda". They
call her "Hookz and Lookz!"
LOGIC was the first to join PREACHA on this project. He
rhymes in a raspy "Tone Loc'ish" style that gives him
his own special trademark bringing back that old school
feeling Hip-Hop used to represent.
Influences
Nu Era draws its influence from the earliest members of Hip-Hop in its most explorative days. They also acknowledge any Artist or group who have generally paved the way to new forms of originality in music by being aggressively commited to uniqueness. This is what they feel is missing in todays music. They pick up heavy inspiration from the likes of Digable Planets, Lauryn Hill, The Roots, Bilal, Common, Jaco Pastorius, Weather Report, Crissette Michelle, Sly and the Family Stone, Nina Simone, Feist, Jeff Buckley, Prince, Jimi Hendrix and many more.
Sounds Like
New original Funky Hip-Hop w/an R and B flavor appeal!
Who are Nu Era? They're a group formed out of Philadelphia in the early part of 2003! Members consist of three musical friends with differing styles - PREACHA, an up and coming producer and musician, LOGIC, cosigning on rhymes and LYRIC, on hooks and vocals. They give their own contribution to our struggling culture in Hip-Hop. Their sound is cutting edge due to the production skills and the extensive musical background of its founder, PREACHA. NU ERA stands for all those who miss the old roots of HIP-HOP in it's wild days of exploration. You definitely want to cop their double-album when it drops. It features stellar alternative sounds and beats. The songwriting ranges from current issues to political and inspirational. It is indeed a pleasure for Love Factory Studio to present its featured artist' NU ERA to the minds of all those thirsting for something original. Sit back and enjoy a sample in diversity of their tracklist with joints entitled March, Nu Funk, Switch, Jugglin', Holla, Possibly, etc. The album is in its final phases of mixdown and ready for download and distribution by late 2008. Be sure to show your support by letting others know about them! The new musical movement is on brothers and sisters!!
