Listen to recording artiste Nu Flowah's music and you'll hear a sound that is as universal in its appeal as it is unique. Singjay/songwriter/producer born Richard Wallace, treats his listeners to a plethora of sounds and styles such as ska, grassroots reggae , dancehall, R&B and lovers rock. Nu Flowah proudly embraces the teachings of H.I.M. Haile Selassie I the 1st. my messages are straight forward and deal with the issues of the streets...that's real life and that's what my music is about-reality". Nu Flowah, like his moniker suggests the artiste "flow is new" a never before heard sound that is an electric mix of influences namely, Burning Spear, Bob Marley and Peter Tosh among others. Nu Flowah as been singing since he was a young boy, his elder brother Pat played a sound called "Kingatone Roots". His years of exsperience have therefore afforded him an outlook on the music industry that many other upcoming artiste will never have. "Everything I sing about I live...music is life, also it is the message leading the people to the promise land...Haile Selassie I the 1st gave the word, great is the company of InI who publish it. Nu Flowah as performed on several international stage shows, as opened for fellow artiste's, luciano, Abyssinians, Mykal Rose, Capleton, Taurus Riley, Queen Ifrika and many more. After a long hiatus from his passion-music, Nu Flowah as now returned with renewed energy. "I went to Ethiopia to uplift my spirit and to see the"manifestations"of His Majesty.... in order to bring the message forward, you have to return to where it all started,"the artiste said. The inspiration he received in Afrika fostered the birth of his debut album, Black Liberation which was produced and arranged by Nu Flowah himself, on his own KingsHighway Records lable. Nu Flowah describes the album as "A positive work that brings education to the youths." The very complex writer wants to push his music and messages to the Four Corners of the World. Asked why he came back on the music scene, Nu Flowah confessed that he could no longer stay away from something he loved so much. He said, the influence of Rastafari on the music is now more potent than ever, and that the people are ready for the messages like never before... The Fire can be defined in so many different ways, Im bringing a new flow to the people....a unprecedented sound from what is out there today, Its only a matter of time before the people realize and appreci-love my music...I intend to take my music to a worldwide audience, because it is universal."the artiste said. He also intends to broaden his already wide-scope of knowledge and intense life lessons. The name "ADDIS ABABA" was founded in 1887 by Empress Taitu, the warrior Empress of Emperor Menelik the 2nd of Ethiopia. It means "NEW FLOWER" and is the capital city of ETHIOPIA.
