Operation Safe Passage is a non profit entity with a mission of Saving, Enhancing, and Inspiring the lives of youth. In Chicago, over 600 adolescents have been shot from September of 2007 to July of 2009. The majority of them were shot by other adolescents. In the midst of this horrific violence, Operation Safe Passage is intensifying its efforts to stop the violence through uplifting mentorship programs, propelling scholarships, and life changing media productions.
“Dreams Deferred” is a ground breaking stage play that illustrates the harsh reality of the killings involving youth unlike any newspaper article, TV segment, or panel discussion has before. The play will premiere at the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago on Saturday, November 7, 2009. The venue, located on the city’s Southside, seats over 830 people.
We have also recently produced a documentary film entitled "nugget" that investigates the senseless killings of youth, and seeks ways we can implement change. A snippet of the film is below...

Also, those people in the world who See the Destruction taking place within our OWN Communities, but rather than remaining Silent or Adding to the Madness, have chosen to help bring about Change.
