About me:
I am the only national organization dedicated solely to empowering queer Jewish students through support education and outreach! This means I am here to whatever I can to make the world and schools/synagogues/temples/Hillels/whatever more inclusive for queer Jewish students. NUJLS is a ten year old organization, founded in 1997 by a group of queer Jewish students. NUJLS holds an annual conference in the early spring, provides ally training for queer and Jewish professionals, and provides support to queer Jewish student groups (and those seeking to start QJ groups) around the nation. We're here, we're queer, so get Jews to it!
Who I'd like to meet:
Queer Jewish Students! Queer Jews who are not students! Our allies! Folks working on dismantling oppression, empowering youth, and folks combating homophobia and anti-semitism. And, of course, people looking to learn more about how to do that!

Dear Awesome NUJLS group members,

L'shannah Tovah! NUJLS wants to welcome you to the new Jewish year and the new academic year. My name is Michael Weinberger, the inreach director with the NUJLS program. If you ever have questions about the conference, events and other info, feel free to message me anytime day or night.

As the years kick off we want to invite you to be more involved with NUJLS, attend a few queer Jewish events, and hear what we've been up to over the summer.

GETTING INVOLVED
1. Send us your thoughts - NUJLS is growing, and we want to grow with you! Send one or two things you'd like to see NUJLS do to info@nujlsonline.org
2. Join a committee - help create the NUJLS newsletter, contribute to our program database, build NUJLS contacts on your campus and more!
3. Bring NUJLS to your campus - NUJLS can train your staff to be allies to Queer Jewish students, help your campus Queer Jewish group be more effective, or help you start a Queer Jewish group. The Executive Director and local board members can be on your panels (about religion/spirituality, campus organizing, Judaism and queerness, etc.), solo speakers or offer workshops.
4. Bring Bear Bergman to your campus! Bear Bergman is a NUJLS Board of Governors member and a great performer as well! Hir shows, Clearly Marked and Monday Night in Westerbork, make great events, or go well in a pride week, theater series and more. Both shows sensitively, humorously, and intelligently address Judaism and queerness, and all the places the two meet.
5. Organize an event with NUJLS support! NUJLS can help your Queer Jewish group with ideas, planning, and more for a campus event.

EVENTS:
NUJLS event: Queer Shabbaton
Non-NUJLS: host a showing of Trembling Before God (http://www.filmsthatchange
theworld.com/site/about/ho
w_to_host)
Non-NUJLS: Israel Experience LGBT trip (http://israelexperience.or
