The name [ NüK ] was taken from the word ‘nuclear’ that resembles ‘power of mass destruction’ that the band possess. The band "Nu-Metal" concept coupled with the dynamic, energetic and creativity on stage really delights all genre of music lovers.
[NüK] was formed end of October 2005 on the eve of “BlastOff – Season 2” audition, one of the biggest nationwide battle of the bands event (which was broadcast live by a major television station in Malaysia). We played our first show at BlastOff Trials at Club Orange KL (20th November 2005) and achieving to enter the final stages of the competition. After 7 consecutive shows, we were finally out of the competition finishing as semi-finalists and having a highly credited 4th placing in music band category overall, beating over 1,000 bands from all over the country.
The defeat at BlastOff Season 2 did not damper our spirits to continue on planning our next move; which was to start making new materials for the band as well as to improve all weakness within the band, thus making our show even tighter and "heavier" than ever. For this, the band had taken a long breather from the music scene during year 2006.
Since then, NüK had undergone a transition process whereby new equipments were brought in for the added vibe and touch to the sounds which the band plans to produce. It would give an added ‘touch’ to the already unique sound that the band possesses. At the same time, new materials were written and are ready to be recorded.
After a grueling period of continuous DIY trials and recordings, our single, simply entitled “N u K – Enter The Zone” was finished in May 2007. It compromises 2 of our best selected songs namely “E.T.Z. (Enter the Zone)” and “A-Nia-ya”. The band has released this single in early June 2007 and have captured the attention of local radio airways and magazines. The exitement grows here as the band decides to move furthur. After a long hiatus from the industry, Nuk decides a comeback.
Work does not end here for NüK as there are 11 more songs ready to be completed in a self titled LP come October 2010.

Sad to inform all of you brutal fans that our durmmer, DizzyMil was involved with a bad accident last weekend. We expect him to be sidelined for 3-4 months. This had badly dampened our plans for the recording process of "Love.Hate.Pain.Humanoid" in which we had prepared 13 new rocking tracks for you guys to enjoy. We estimate the first 5 tracks EP to release late July-early August 2008, this if DizzyMil having the chance to have complete recovery by June. In the mean time for any upcoming shows, we will call in our friends to temporary replace DizzyMil as NuK's drummer.
Also, on another note, we had a rocking time last Saturday with our special showcase at Chorus Hotel and Resort Port Dickson. With special appearance by our new friends Lynn as guest vocalists and Kudin on keyboards (both formerly from Malaysian legendary rock band HeadWind), also with brother MatNor on drums and DarkBob (4-Sized Slippers), we had sucessfully entertained and smack-downed the show in front of 300 "by-special invitation" guests. It was indeed a special treat for us having the chance to play on a great setting by the white sandy beach overlooking the sunset on this beautiful West Malaysia coast. We thank the sponsors and all involved for such a wonderful show. Also we thank all for the rave reviews we had received after the show and hope to see all of you again next year!
