Steve Roper is the author of this book and has been an avid fan and collector of Gary’s 1979 – 1981 years. He is most famous for bringing us the Living Ornaments 1980 (2005) and the Engineers CD’s (2008) that were the result of him spending years tracking down the sound engineers.
Steve also met with other stage-crew members and obtained many items from that era, some of which can be found on his website http://www.thetouringprinciple.co.uk/ and many that will appear in this book.
Steve lives in the Norwich area and does his part in keeping UK breweries in business
Steve is also assisting Beggars Banquet with the upcoming "Pleasure Principle 30th Anniversary Edition" CD, scheduled for release in September 2009
Helping him with the book is Erik Vermeulen (co-producer) who you might remember from maintaining the official Gary Numan Myspace page. Erik has been a fan since 1979 and even when he lived in Australia, kept spending his money on importing albums from the Numan Fan Club
He currently resides in the Minneapolis/St.Paul area and just like Steve, does his best work after a beer!
