Sounds Like
uh, like a lo-fi version of everything previously mentioned... for now i guess
sometimes you just have to do what doesn't make a damn bit of sense. it makes you feel better about being human. it made ME feel better anyway. that being said, let me tell you a bit about this number 99 thing. you take one singer/songwriter, give him a computer and a bunch of musical gadgets and goodies and A LOT of inspiration and you have it. i'm not really sure what it sounds like, but i'll try for the sake of this bio:
imagine Elliott Smith, Michael Penn and Jeff Tweedy sitting around writing songs all day. Jeff Buckley comes in every now and again with Kurt Vonnegut and Bob Dylan in tow for lyrical suggestions. Wilco, Radiohead and Pink Floyd also stop by to offer their help with arrangements and spatterings of color (or colour, if you prefer). add a little of this and a little of that, and you got it: number 99. judge for yourself. i could be totally off base here. oh yeah, my name's Matthew.

Thank you so much for rocking my Monday night with your country/prog rock/time-signature-changing/ triplet-busting/luscious-chord-progression-playing set. I'm so glad you got to have the Dirty South TV experience!!
And thank you also for the gorgeous harmonies and improv vocals on "All the Things I Want to Say". It was truly a delight singing with you, as always!
Now I have a crystal clear understanding why you are loved and admired by so many. It was a pleasure having you on Live Sessions From The Dirty South. Please do stay in touch.
Here are a couple of new spots we did that are featured on VIMBY. com. If you or someone you know wants and would be a good fit for VIMBY, let me know and we can try to shoot a video spot.
