N.U.M.B., which stands for Never Underestimate Musical Belief, formed in January 2007 when the band successfully mixed the UK music genres into their own style… British Fusion. Their fresh new sound is a cool blend of fantastic catchy melodies, with intelligent thought provoking raps, fat beats, tasty bass and a topping of trumpet hooks.
They were quickly noticed and in February 2007 the band were the first band to appear in H.D. format live on the internet where they met Bohemian Rhapsody producer Malcolm Toft who quoted about the band “..the best thing I’ve heard in years”.
By March 2007 they were hand picked from over 10,000 bands by 02 Undiscovered and made it into the final 30 best acts in the UK. Following this, in June, the band were asked by 02 Wireless Festival to appear at Hyde Park in London.
Since then the bands calendar has been a busy one. They have played over 250 gigs including The Windsor Castle Annual Varsity Match, the Met Bar, Clapham Grand, The Cavern Liverpool, Barfly and Carling Academy. Appeared frequently on over 20 local and national Radio Stations/T.V., written, recorded and produced over 40 amazing tracks, sold over 5,000 C.D.s from gigs alone and supported major acts such as Transglobal Underground, Get Cape Wear Cape Fly, Zion Train, Akala and more.
In March 2008 their song “Night Time” featured on Top British Comedy film “Three and Out” starring Mackenzie Crook, Colm Meaney and Gemma Arterton. It also appeared as track 6 on the accompanying C.D. alongside Blondie, The Coral, Gabriella Climi and by April the band were on the Red Carpet at the premiere in Leicester Square, London.
The band have also gained endorsement from THTC Clothing, Faith Guitars and Fenchurch, recorded and released their own album, have their own video for “Night Time”, were runners up in The Global Battle of the Bands UK final, gained praise by people such as Price Harry and Rik Wakeman, appeared in countless newspapers/magazines including Hip Hop Connection, performed at many schools and have also been on Sky 375 Musflash TV.
N.U.M.B. will continue to be a force to be reckoned with within the UK unsigned music scene with more great new songs, more great live performances and the belief in what they do.
