Numbra in literal terms vaguely means "shadow" in Latin. Numbra was started
in 2006 by Etienne Olivier and Wiehann Dumon as an experiment to create a
new sound by fusing electric guitar with vinyls and sampled beats. Kevin van
den Oever joined soon after and since then Numbra progressed dramatically in
terms of music and song writing. As the band picked up steam Wiehann's
brother (Rainer Dumon) joined and started blasting beats for the band, followed
by Michael Brink, completing the sound with both guitars and vocals.
Numbra creates a sound that can best be described as Melodic Nu-Metal. This
sound is created through heavy guitars, melodic riffs, precision drumming and
an electronic feel.
Yeah its been a long time and we have finally found the right person to help us out with the recordings. So far, we have spent a day doing drums. It is very techniacal-didnt know it would take so long. But we have enjoyed EVERY moment of it! Will be continuing tomorrow with bass and guitars.
Also got a new guitarist! Yet again we spent a long time looking for the right person with the right attitude and skills. Got a photo shoot later tonight.
