Numerals was formed in the fall of 2009 by Brandon McFarlin and Jed McNeill. Tristan Smith and Jake Germany were soon added as the guitarists for the band. Several songs were written by these original four members, but the band was still seeking a vocalist and bassist to complete the lineup. Matthew Butler and Joe Weems soon came along to fill these positions, and the lineup was complete.

The band recorded their first EP Breathe Fiction in December of 2009 with Dustin Patrick Delong. It was released on December 21st, 2009. Jake Germany left the band soon after the new year to pursue other musical endeavors. Garrett Heinlen was then called upon to take over the reigns of Guitar. Matthew Butler and Joe Weems also left the band due to creative differences. After much praying and searching, the band soon found their new vocalist Christian Todd Lewis, and the band was now ready to write and record their new album.

Numerals entered Red Red Studios in Nashville, Tennessee in January of 2011 to start work on their new album entitled Across The Atlantic. Numerals will be releasing their first single from the album on January 25th, 2011.
