Nurzery [Rhymes] was started back in 2000 and originally inspired by frontman Christian Riemer's foray into DJing. Joined in live performances by Franco Del Prete, N[R] began lighting up stages locally around Frankfurt as well as across the European industrial music scene.

Nurzery Rhymes made a stellar debut with their first single "Blood & Wine" and were rewarded with immediate success in clubs worldwide. A year has passed and these busy German boys have been hard at work recording their first studio album "Injections". After stripping down almost two hours of recorded material into a condensed and refined form ( 50 Minutes ), "Injections" leaves nothing to be desired ! Influenced by acts such as Hocico, Grendel, God Module and Suicide Commando the result is a tour de force that pleases not only the body with dance floor stormers like "Through Your Eyes" and "Sick Little Bitch" but also the mind. "Injections" offers intense and disturbing sound bites that will clean your musical palette in between the 'real' tracks. Their basic sound is slightly reminiscent of bands like Psyclon Nine, Tactical Sekt or Dawn of Ashes but has plenty of original ideas to propel this exceptional band into the realm of serious contenders for the Dark Electro Throne. Harsh, beautiful, angry, but always human. Nurzery Rhymes will move you !

"nurzery rhymes", abgeleitet vom englischen Begriff fuer Kinderverse, spielt auf den bedrohlichen Zwiespalt des kindlich Unschuldigen und dem praegenden Charakter solcher Gedichte an. Kinderverse sollen, verdeckt durch scheinbare Harmlosigkeit und Naivitaet Wertvorstellungen vermitteln und dies in fruehster Jugend. Viele Verse und Geschichten, gerade Maerchen sind dabei voll von Gewalt und Drohung, wodurch sie in Verbindung mit der Erinnerung an die Unmuendigkeit im Kindesalter auch Aengste, Hoffnungen und Gefuehle von Vergaenglichkeit beim Zuhoerer aufkommen lassen. Dies bewirkt die besondere Emotionalitaet von Kinderversen. Fuer die Wirkung genau jener Bedrohlichkeit, die auch scheinbar Harmlosem anhaftet steht die Musik von nurzery rhymes. Die Musik soll bewegen. In diesem Fall am Besten woertlich. nurzery rhymes will mit harter, "duesterer" Musik Emotionen beim Zuhoerer wecken. Die zuweilen bedrohliche Stimmung der Musik soll nicht niederdruecken, sondern dazu fuehren sich mitreien zu lassen, sich mit den Emotionen zu konfrontieren und die "Bedrohung" zu berwinden. Die Freude an harter elektronischer Musik und am Tanz zu solcher stehen im Vordergrund.
