Life, lies, growing up, hurting people, getting hurt, getting drunk, getting stupid, getting laid, fighting, fucking, drinking, burning, working, drinking, stupid people, shitty neighbors, good friends, drinking, every band we've played shows with, every band and person that has invited us to play with them or at a party, every bar - club - or venue that has allowed us to play at their establishment and use massive amounts of vulgar language, drinking, everyone that has bought us beer at a show, and most of all; everyone that has seen a live Nuthin SpeshL show!! ...and drinking.
Sounds Like
several different elements of punk rock ranging from the best original UK bands to the best bands that have stapled America over the years. Add an element of of metal aggression, a dash of 80's music humor, and mildly offensive lyrics to piss off a few select people, and you end with us, trying to figure out how the hell we happened.
Arguably one of the most underrated bands in Southern California, the power house, anti-pop punk trio of Nuthin SpeshL are by no means your average Punk Rock band. Bowing to no one while still shaking everyone’s hand, these guys are here with absolutely no influence from trends, scenes, pop culture, gods, establishments, or even what most punks think Punk Rock should signify. Since their beginning, Nuthin SpeshL have paved their own way and followed no ones lead to become one of the most energetic, brutally honest, and undeniably entertaining Punk bands around. Although the pinnacle of this band is the music they create, the driving force behind them is the commonality each of them possess. Their onstage antics have been described as Abbott and Costello meeting The Vandals while wielding Twinkies and Ding Dongs into the crowd. The music itself holds a place of it’s own. Hard driving guitar riffs accompanied by thunderous, powerful bass lines, backed by some of the fastest, most accurate drum beats west of the Mississippi, followed up with witty, rhythmic, in your face lyrics that cut right to the bone. Whether it be about Sex, Beer, Religion, War, or Zombies, when it comes to a live performance, there truly are no holds barred. Plugged in and aggressive or unplugged and laid back, to them it‘s not about being another “internet band with 10 thousand friends.“ It‘s about having a good time and making sure that fans, old and new, are having a good time too. After all, if it’s not fun it’s not worth doing.
