About Nutricula

Turritopsis nutricula is a hydrozoan (jellyfish) with a life cycle in which it reverts back to the polyp stage after becoming sexually mature, making it effectively immortal.

Nutricula was formed in the winter of 2007 in Fort Collins, Colorado by Reed Perry, Josh Rivera and Robert Barnett. Shortly thereafter, Mike Grace and Kevin Pack completed the lineup.
