Launched in 2000 Nu Urban Music has grown into one of the world’s leading Drum & Bass, House and Nu Rave distributors with offices in the UK, USA and France. The company prides itself in its collective passion for underground dance music and its dedication to first class customer service.
Since the later part of 2006 the company has employed a full-time member of staff to help build and further develop its Nu Rave section and is proud to distribute over twenty of the scene's most sought after labels.
Nu Rave is based on the sound and ethos of the original UK Rave movement but with a strong emphasis on new music, progressive production techniques and originality. As well as modern artists such as Enzyme, Malice, Junki Munki, Darkus, Running Man, Screwball, Amnexiac and Ragga to Riches, artists of the original rave scene are also involved such as Slipmatt, Phuture Assassins, Luna-C, Orca, Austin and Billy Bunter. The music is electronically sequenced using synthesised leads and basslines as well as samples but perhaps most striking is the use of breakbeats.
