About me: This is the Jr. Fire Fighter program at the Nolensville Volunteer Fire Department. Meetings are held once a month on the 2nd Tuesday @ 7:00P.M. We are always accepting membership for young boys and girls ages 14 - 21. Meetings are informal, focusing on learning and having fun!
Jr FF's train with real firefighter protective gear and equipment with the Nolensville Fire Members. Jr. Firefighters practice with ladders, breathing air using the SCBA(Self Contained Breathing Apparatus), Spraying Water, Search & Rescue, Obstacle courses, Medical care and more.
The Jr Firefighting program is a great start for young adults interested in pursuing a career in the Firefighting or Emergency Medical Care. Numerous past JRFF members have built on and used there experience from the JRFF program to become paid/career Firefighters and Emergency Medical Technicians.
All training is optional and no expectations are held. While JRFF's train with real equipment they DO NOT respond to the actual 911 Emergencies. JRFF's will not be participating on actual Emergency scenes. Training is held under close supervision by Nolensville Fire Members to ensure a safe and fun experience.
Who I'd like to meet: Once again we are always accepting membership for boys and girls with intrest in the Fire Fighting or Medical profession. Family and friends are always encouraged to attend but are not expected to participate. Meetings start at 7:00p.m. and end around 8:30p.m. Participants and visitors are welcome to come and go as they please but are also not expected to stay the full length or attend every meeting.

hey yeah i had a really good time tonight and i really like the slide show and i encourage all who is interested in firefighting to also come hang out with us one night...it is a great experience and youll love it but yeah cya

Hey anyone that is interested in doing any of this.In the short time that I've done this its really been helpful, I'm only going to be doing this for a couple more months then I'm going to join as a full volunteer but its a really neat experience to put everything on and get into learning to be a firefighter!!!We train every week, and sometimes hearing it will bore you but now you can be a JRFF and actually do these things and learn at the same time!! SO come on out and enjoy this, it's a lot of fun and helpful if you want to get into this field!!!
