NWA Pride Announces NWA Pride Parade Grand Marshals
Fayetteville, AR - NWA PRIDE is proud to announce the Grand Marshals for the NWA Pride Parade 2009 will be the Reitans and Daniel Karslake.
Randi and Phil Reitan Randi and Phil Reitan from Mankato, Minnesota have four children. Their youngest son, Jacob, is gay. When Jacob came out to them 10 years ago, their eyes were opened to the discrimination the gay community faces. They followed Jacob's lead and became gay rights activists. The Reitan family are featured in the award winning documentary, For the Bible Tells Me So. They have been active members of Soulforce, Phil is on their board of directors and Jacob was the first young adult director. Jacob is now a student at Harvard Divinity School. He founded the Equality Ride and the Right to Serve Campaign.
Daniel Karslake is the producer, director, and writer of "For the Bible Tells Me So."
For six years, Daniel Karslake has been an award-winning producer for the highly acclaimed news magazine, “In the Life,” which airs nationally on PBS in over 120 markets. Recognition for his outstanding work for the show, which has centered primarily on issues regarding religion and homosexuality, includes an Emmy nomination from the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, as well as praise from GLAAD and the National Lesbian and Gay Journalists Association.
The NWA Pride Parade will be on June 27, 2009 in Fayetteville, AR, Line up starts at 8 AM and parade starts at 10 AM. Starting point is on N. East Street between Meadow and Dickson Streets.

Now a night out in NY to see a show at a VERY AFFORDABLE price!
I, along with Dana Lorge, am hosting a weekly variety show in NYC at The Iguana VIP Lounge in the heart of NYC (240 West 54th Street 8-11PM/with an intermission). We are calling the show WEDNESDAY NIGHT AT THE IGUANA! What we are doing is NOT being done anywhere else! Each week we will feature 5 entertainers. Other entertainers that show up will be inserted throughout the show as time permits/this is done by lottery! AND each are joined by Barry Levitt on keyboard and Saadi Zain on bass.Each week will be different. The price is ONLY $10.00 with NO food or drink minimum (although the food at The Iguana is top notch). This is a nice night out with the family! The show will also be done with class and elegance. After 15 success-FULL years, Richard is hanging up the sequins to focus on other projects! We hope that you will help him go out with a bang on Sunday night!
Tim McLoone's, Asbury Park to Present Carol Channing Tribute July 5th
BOB EGAN ENTERTAINMENT in association with ELEGANT DIAMOND PRODUCTIONS presents Carol Channing in Concert Starring Richard Skipper, billed as "a loving musical-comedy tribute to Carol Channing," will play one performances at Tim McLoone's Supper Club in Asbury Park.
Multi- Award winner Skipper will play the veteran Broadway performer, and show time is 8PM July 5th . Paul Stephan wrote the show's arrangements with additional charts by Seth Weinstein.
Skipper will be backed by Marc Daine on banjo/guitar, Laura Dryer on saxophone, Steve Bartosic on drums and Frank Wagner on bass. He will also be joined by The Jon Weber Group (with Jon on piano), which features singers Rocco Arrigo, Michael Hopewell, Kristopher Monroe.
Carol Channing in Concert Starring Richard Skipper is conceived, written and produced by Skipper.
