Nya was formed in Southern England in 2007 by five experienced touring musicians. Having spent that time honing their sound and creating an intensely high energy live show, Nya have recently embarked on their first UK tour in promotion of their self titled Demo/EP, playing over forty shows throughout the UK. As well as several smaller festival appearances, Nya also headlined the Unsigned stage at 2009's Bloodstock Open Air Festival.
Nya's EP successfully demonstrates a refreshing balance of catchy choruses, heavy riffing and trademark melodic, harmonious vocals. This is mirrored in their live show, which is unarguably one of the most energetic and entertaining you'll see!
Having received a series of rave reviews for both the EP and their live shows, Nya will spend the next couple of months finishing their long awaited debut album ‘Through The Grey’. Following its completion in 2010, the band will be taking their brand of groove laden melodic metal and super-charged live show back out on the road, extensively touring the UK and Europe on the back of the new release.
