Raised in Dinwiddie, Virginia P-Nyce began playing the drums at the age of 12. He attended Virginia Commonwealth University for 3 years where he pursued a degree in music. After leaving school to join the Army he was deployed with the 2nd Infantry Division to Ar Ramadi, Iraq, located in the dreaded Sunni Triangle. During his time in Iraq P-Nyce sought refuge in his music. He and several of his comrades built a 15-by-15-foot studio out of scrap wood and old mattresses and began putting on shows. The shows had over 500 soldiers in attendance, and help boost morale. He even shot a full length video for “Back Up” during his stint in Iraq (video enclosed). This led to their appearance in the Mideast edition of “Stars and Stripes,” a world-wide military newspaper (article enclosed). P-Nyce’s time in Iraq has been a catalyst for his music endeavors, ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Since returning safely home to the U.S. P-Nyce utilized the ambition he developed in Iraq and began working hard promoting his music. He has been featured in numerous newspaper articles (enclosed) and appeared on NBC and CBS affiliate stations performing the music he produced in Iraq. Nyce has worked with artists such as T.Pain and COMP- Def Jam. He has opened for T.I., Paul Wall, Rick Ross, Trick Daddy & Chamillionaire, and countless other major artists. He has done over 80 shows in the past year alone all while still executing his duties as an active-duty military soldier! P-Nyce’s keen business sense has allowed him to create his own independent record label, So Heated Records, in which he is Founder and CEO. Nyce vows to show the world the inner happenings of Iraq, & the story that the media doesn’t cover. “This gives my music mass appeal to all demographics because everyone is concerned about what’s going on in Iraq.” A perfect example of this is P-Nyce’s single, “I Have a Dream,” featuring Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., which is a vivid account of the happenings in the world. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This past summer P-Nyce made history by becoming THE FIRST EVER HIP HOP ARTIST FEATURED ON THE US ARMY SOLDIER SHOW!!!
