Are you ready for the greatest Music and Arts Festival NYC has ever seen? On September 25, 2008 you will get your opportunity as NYC Gigs invite top bands and Artists from the Tri-State area to perform in New York City at the well known music venue The Knitting Factory. This will be an exciting night of music as all three floors will be flooded with talented musicians all gathering to celebrate the best in live music. Tickets can be purchased on Ticket Web for $15.00 or, $20.00 at the door. Leading the night in The Tap Bar will be Taylor Barton with GE SMITH, legendary guitar player and former band leader of Saturday Night Live!
NYCGIGS.COM was founded by IRA BERMAN, a true musician and media pioneer who created innovative concepts such as the CW11/WPIX and Pepsi Battle Of The bands in conjunction with the John Lennon songwriting contest and
“Live Underground" a monthly showcase created by NYCGigs.com and The John Lennon Songwriting Contest at Village Underground, the famed music venue in New York City's Greenwich Village, located in the basement where the legendary Gerdes' Folk City once thrived and introduced iconic music personalities.
NYCGIGS.COM is comprised of top independent concert promoters in NYC that have been highlighting performers in well known venues, past and present, such as Tramps, Pier 17 at The South Street Seaport, The Fountainebleau in Miami Beach, Le Bar Bat, Village Underground, The Canal Room, The National Underground, Crash Mansion, Southpaw, Luna Lounge, Upstairs at Studio 54, etc. For the past five years they have promoted such high caliber acts as Bo Diddley, Wilson Pickett, GE Smith, The Josh Dodes Band, Gato Barbieri, Oz featuring Anton Fig from The Late Show with David Letterman, Steely Dan guitarist Jon Herington, Matt Dusk and hundreds of unsigned bands.
NYCGIGS.COM is now booking summer gigs at the hot new lower east side venue The National Underground. Owned by pop/rock star Gavin DeGraw and his brother Joey DeGraw, The National Underground has quickly created a buzz in the underground music scene as "the place to be seen."
