Volunteer Sign Up ORGANIZER - description/requirements
Organizers would help out with the protest in its entirety. Basically running the show, the organizers are expected to attend the meetings and determine the protest information (date, time, location, etc.) along with how to deal with possible problems, how to stay in touch throughout the entire event, how to maintain peace, etc. The meetings will not be often, but they are important.
*NOTE: ORGANIZERS AND PROMOTERS are expected to submit a phone number at which they can be reached. Once the form is received and you have submitted your phone number, Quinn (the main organizer) will reply with her phone number. Your phone number will not be shared, given, sold, nor traded to anyone under any and all circumstances. The exchange of your phone number and Quinn's is ONLY for the purpose of keeping in contact with each other about NYCPIP related issues.

PROMOTER - description/requirements
Promoters are responsible for spreading the word about the protest via online, on the street, etc. They will be posting flyers around their home area (town/county), handing out flyers at local events (other protests, concerts, rallies, parades, etc.), posting flyers and banners on their profiles/sites, sharing information about the protest in forums, chat rooms, and anywhere else imaginable. Promoters are expected to be able to print out the flyers on their own, printable flyers will always be in grayscale. Promoters are preferred if they can attend the organization meetings, but it is not required.

BLOGGER - description/requirements
Bloggers are to simply blog. They are needed to post (original) articles or reactions to articles having to do with the hot issue of immigration/illegal immigration. Other genres of writing are allowed, political cartoons are great too, but the news is the most important. Bloggers may submit work in whatever language they like, but they must submit an English translation if the blog is not already in English. Bloggers are preferred if they can attend the organization meetings, but it is not required.

TRANSLATOR - description/requirements
Especially because this protest is about immigration, we need individuals who are able to translate from English to another language. If a certain language is requested, we will put up special notice that we need a translator for that particular language. Translators are preferred if they can attend the organization meetings, but it is not required.

We are pro-immigrant rights and support both documented and undocumented immigrants!
This protest is being put together in reaction to the discrimination towards immigrants and illegal immigrants. The idea of national security has created a smokescreen with the ideas of terrorism down our throats, forcing us to become a paranoid country. We cannot allow this! Bills like the DREAM Act should be passed!
The date of the protest is uncertain at this time until more volunteers come through and help out. If you're willing to help out, read our blog!

hey guys, sorry i haven't been any help yet. I've just started traveling, so when i am on a computer i dont have much time to blog the right way. Once i get to my destination out West (i'm from CT) which is Arizona to be exact, i'll be more than ready to help spread the word. Who knew that we would have to legalize living FREELY!
