When he decided to step into the realm of music, he got the chance to perform at BET's first-ever Blaze The Stage competition (December 2006) in New York City. At the show, he knabbed the first-place spot for "Best Song." In 2007, his music caught the ears of MTV, when he was offered a VIP Audition spot (January 2007) on MTV's MySpace competition for Making the Band 4.
