Success, partying, chillin'. To 'work hard and play harder'.
I love good people, nice places, good food and good times.
I love to laugh, to travel, to try new things. I like comedy and music, films and video games.
I hate cold weather, and love summertime. I'm a total nightowl, and I'd be happy not to see the dark and grey hours during the winter months if I could avoid it.
Gotta work though - I'm an ambitious person. I need to work towards my goals. My goals are fulfilling my potential. Gotta go for it - to achieve and experience everything I want.
Can't let any of life's b.s. get in the way.
Music
Well made, thoughtful stuff - avoiding the junk designed only to sell to the average hype sheep.
Nas,
Pharoahe Monch, Busta Rhymes, Big Punisher, Method Man, Redman, Mary J. Blige, Faith Evans, The Roots, Erykah Badu, Angie Stone, Al Green...
Plus LOADS more from ANY genre. I love ALL good music. Tell me of some your lifetime favourites and I'll probably listen to them all...
Movies
I love quality, plain and simple. I like a bit of action and adventure to take me away from daily b.s. from time to time, and I've also got a great sense of humour so the odd comedy keeps me happy.
Trainspotting, LA Confidential, Friday, Forrest Gump, Terminator 2, Back To The Future Trilogy, Training Day, The Negotiator, House Party, Pulp Fiction, True Romance, Seven, The Sixth Sense, Scarface, Star Wars, Robocop, 8 Mile, Rain Man, Falling Down, Snatch, Training Day, Old Boy, The Abyss, Collateral, Goodfellas, Casino, City Of God, The Nutty Professor, American Beauty... tons more not listed...
Decent actors: Samuel L. Jackson, Nicholas Cage, Denzel Washington, Tom Hanks, Al Pacino, Kevin Spacey...
Television
I like good quality TV that doesn't waste your life. I have a few favourite shows, but to be honest, there are way too many adverts and junk TV shows to hold my attention most of the time.
I'll have to look at getting Sky+. I keep stopping myself, as it's just a bit too good and I'll spend too much time on the best TV. Maybe in the future...
Here's a list of the shows I've loved over the years.
Starting with the 80s:
Thundercats
Transformers
He-Man
M.A.S.K.
Visionaries
Moving into the 90's, as an older child / young teen I'd be watching:
Harry Enfield
Quantum Leap
The Fresh Prince of Bel Air
Red Dwarf
My teenage years were the age of the Video Game. Here are the titles that have grabbed my attention over the years:
OutRun,
AfterBurner, Chase HQ, Sonic The Hedgehog,
Streets Of Rage 2,
Double Dragon, Street Fighter II, Mortal Kombat 3,
Daytona USA,
Grand Theft Auto, Burnout 3, God Of War
Gotta send a shout out to my favourite stand up comedians. See, my TV gets plenty of use, just not to watch junk TV shows most of the time:
Chris Rock
Peter Kay
Martin Lawrence
Bernie Mac
I'll add some of my favourite comedy clips in due time... watch this space.
In recent years, television has been less appealing. I dip in and out of a few shows, watch comedies, dramas, documentaries, news and the odd music show. My free time isn't really spent on TV shows, but when the TV's on, I'll flick around and see what's happening:
Below are the TV shows that have appealed to me in recent years. I've not watched a whole lot of some of them, so I guess I'll be looking at renting the DVDs or watching the repeats / downloads / TV on demand in the future:
The Sopranos
CSI
24
Desperate Housewives
The West Wing
The Simpsons(!)
Books
Hmmm, reading books for fun... I'm buying a bunch of history books to make a nice library, plus a load of books on life and stuff.
Since uni forced me to read a load of uber-technical crap I'd rather had not read, I'm giving myself a well earned break from books.
I get loads of useful info on everything, by reading good websites like wikipedia.com - plus I look out for book recommendations - both from websites and from other people.
I still dip into the odd book for a chilled read, but right now I'm building a library to read in the future!
Heroes
Whoever makes Nuclear Fusion work as I know it can. It's proven science - look at the sun - and they're working on it right now, but it needs some of that oil money! Buck Fush and his corrupt government and oil wars, I want a hovercar - 2015 isn't too far away! Dammit! /rant over!
Nelson Mandela for maintaining during all those years.
Martin Luther King for being a visionary and influencing changing America's atrocious laws. Its conduct as a government and a nation in the wider world could still do with some improvement... not hating the yanks - just fools generally. Nuff of y'all r cool.
Bob Geldof, Bono, Bill Gates and Richard Branson for giving a s**t, and acting on it, when so many in their positions don't. Hopefully things will change for the better soon in this crazy and beautiful world that we live in.
Clean, fast cars, clean power stations muthaf****...
Hey peeps. Been working and chillin, lookin at my next moves and plans.
I'm still in Manc, but working in Warrington at the minute. Not in London yet, but that all depends on what I find to do down there professionally. I'll only be going there to work for the right reasons. Watch this space...
I love to travel and have new experiences. It's great that we have the chance to travel far around the county and the world, learning about different places and experiencing different lifestyles. I never had the opportunity to travel much when I was young, so it's now one of my priorities. I'd like to spend as much time as I can experiencing different parts of the world. I'm working on making that happen.
I look for happiness and good times. I set things up so that I can live in peace amongst good people who's best interests I have at heart, and who behave in the same manner towards me.
I've now got to look at putting up more photos and videos of myself and some of the cool and craZy people that I know and love.
All in time...I'll update as often as I can!
The battles against poverty, ignorance and irreversible damage to the planet are massively important to all of us, and especially to me. I'm knowledgeable when it comes to new technology, so it's frustrating to see that some of our biggest technological goals as human beings at this point in history, aren't being met due to greed and corruption.
Right now, one of those goals is to produce clean energy, the other is to run clean cars. This is something that our technology and ability can allow us to achieve - but only if our leaders commit us to strive for this at a national and international level. We need to reduce our dependency on oil.
It looks like at the moment in the UK, the issue of climate change is going to be used as an excuse to increase already over-inflated and often wasted tax revenue. Sad really, as the money isn't accounted for, or directly put into use for any forward thinking projects. Disappointing. Theft.
yo yo yo nyg, hows things! how'd the interview go? definately out on the 3rd in manc, goin casino on oxford road, should be venturin out as well! let us know if ur game
