All four DJs are involved over in the D&P. Its ace! Never ones to use a mic, in the D&P we have found that a simple mic can be used for evil. mwah, mwah haha, mwahh hargh hargh hargh.

NYM Rock nite has two guises, the first and most regular WAS on Tuesday evenings in Mojito (formerly Hush Bar) on Glovers Court in Preston. Top cocktails and exotic beers with DJ Lugubrious airing his old vinyl and CDs. NEW to NYM on Glovers Court, to mark the change over from Hush to Mojito, TWO NEW DJs HAVE COME ON BOARD (and the rude boys will be staring at them!).
May 2008, NYM is chuffed as a buttie to introduce DJ SilentR to enhance the sonic journey we enjoy providing.
In the BLUE CORNER we have DJ Desdemona; specialising in Grunge and Industrial, her faves are Marilyn Manson, Fat Goth, Korn, Machine Head, Pearl Jam, Nine Inch Nails, Dope, Rage Against The Machine, Playing Violet, Alice Cooper, Alice In Chains and Trust.
In the BLONDE CORNER we have DJ Propitious; specialising in Punk and Ska her faves include Gallows, Rancid, Less Than Jake, X-Ray Spex, Beastie Boys, Buzzcocks, Capdown, The Big Hand, Reel Big Fish, Dropkick Murphys, Sex pistols, Transplants and Operation Ivy.
IN the DARK CORNER we have DJ SilentR: specialising in Mad Electronica, Emo, Newmetal back to 80's Glam Rock. Faves are Shiny Toy Guns, Kosheen, Depeche Mode, 30 Seconds To Mars, Linkin Park, Foo Fighters, Fall Out Boy, Papa Roach, Paramore, NIN, Tyketto, Gun, Def Leppard, Whitesnake, Playing Violet, Playing Violet and Playing Violet.
Meanwhile in the naughty corner is DJ Lugubrious: Specialising in classic rock and metal (his first gig was Iron Maiden at the Guildhall in 1983!)he states his favorite bands as;

3. Obsessive Compulsive
4. Anthrax
5. Therapy?
Which would make a great acronym if it was not for Obsessive Compulsive.

Also on the calander is upstairs in the BitterSuite boozer on Fylde Road (you know, used to be Strettles club) When the fancy takes us and we reckon the right bands are available. DJ Petty AND Lugubrious select the tunes from shiny metallic discs as well as PUTTING ON A LIVE BAND or two EACH TIME. The notion is simple, get some good older bands or some great newer bands to play to get paid (hey, Public Enemy lyric there). That's why we have to charge an entrance fee folks. ITS WORTH IT....
Such is the attention to detail with which the NYM brand is synonymous, we even hand choose which CASK ALE will be provided for our customers.
Who I'd like to meet: Left handed people. People who enjoy gardening, art lovers, SCUBA divers, right handed people, folk with bad backs, lorry drivers, aeronautical enthusiasts, masticators, bi-peds, those who are spiritually enlightened, snails, dog lovers and cat people, slow left arm bowlers, girls with flowers in their hair, tegestologists (well, not really, just being polite). People with requests, jugglers, girls wearing jodhpurs, givers away of beer, consumers with good taste, kitchen efficient clingfilm experts, residents of houses with even door numbers, people who go where the people go.
