INDIE PRODUCED TV PILOT ACCEPTED INTO THE 2008 NY TV FEST
Comedy 'Today's Special' one of 36 projects accepted

JetPak Productions, LLC, and comedy writer/performers Marty Johnson and Leah Gotcsik are pleased to announce that their indie TV pilot, Today’s Special, has been accepted into the 2008 New York Television Festival occurring this Sept 12-17th.

The self-produced sitcom, Today’s Special, spoofs home-shopping networks. The story follows the exploits of hosts Connie Roche and Marlene Mapplethorpe, stars of a regional New Hampshire home-shopping channel, as they fight for survival when a powerful rival network appears. It was created by Jennifer Cobb, Leah Gotcsik, Marty Johnson & Mike Kuell, written by and featuring Leah Gotcsik and Marty Johnson and directed by Mike Kuell. The creators chose a dream-team of talented comedians from Boston and New York for the ensemble roles.

JetPak Productions, LLC is a multidiscipline media company specializing in film and video, led by the producing and directing team of Jennifer Cobb and Michael Kuell. JetPak's work has been broadcast nationally, shown at film festivals and streamed on numerous websites. Currently they are developing several other television shows and webisodes as well as prepping for a feature film they are shooting in New York this fall.

Leah Gotcsik and Marty Johnson have been writing and performing sketch and improv comedy together for 5 years, in their show, Somebody's in the Doghouse, with Boston's Improv Asylum and for The Second City at Sea.
Their video shorts have screened at the Austin Film Festival and been featured by the editors of funnyordie. com, crackle. com and others. Marty's pilot, Strange Faculty, screened in the Independent TV Festival and 2007's NYTV Festival and the duo is now busy developing episodic TV and web ideas.
