The Oaktree Foundation is an entirely youth run aid and development organisation. We are driven by young people under the age of 26. We believe that education is the key to making lasting change. Oaktree is about young people standing up to take action. In a world where we can be reduced to token responses to poverty, we believe that young people can be leaders who don’t just talk about change, but create it. Our mission is to empower developing communities through education in a way that is sustainable. The action we take and the way we live out our mission is focussed on young people, education and sustainability.

Just to let you know, the girls from BGGS who attended an Oaktree conference are doing a fund/awareness raiser at our interhouse athletics day next Tuesday.
We would like to extend an invitiation to our assembly in a few weeks (details will be provided soon) for a representative of the foundation to present a short speech and accept the funds we will raise.
